I have used this shop many times and have never been disappointed. The employees are very friendly and will suggest ideas if you can't decide. They will go out of their way to help.

My friend was recently diagnosis was cancer. Luckily the doctors at the Mayo Clinic were able to remove all of it during surgery. So I decided to send my friend a nice arrangement of flowers and balloons. Money was not an issue since you don??t have many friends who survive cancer. I called this flower shop since the website showed some really nice arrangements and were reasonably priced.

When my friend received the flowers and sent me a picture of them I was in utter shock. I understand that I??m from California and that flowers are more expensive in the Midwest but the arrangement that was sent was not worth the amount of money charged. I called to speak to the manager who happens to be the owner as well (according to him he??s second generation) and had him break down the cost for me. For an arrangement of mostly spring flowers with some roses the total was $130.63 with a 10% labor charge. Now I have to note that there weren??t any filler flowers but it still wasn??t worth that much. The vase was $25. The only thing that was reasonably priced was the balloons at $4.25 a piece.

As I??m speaking to Gary, the owner, he get progressively defensive with me. He tells me that he can go get the flowers and provide another arrangement. Like I said earlier, my friend just dealt with cancer and has follow ups with the hospital. Why would I disrupt his day because the flower shop did an unsatisfactory job? Gary tells me that he??s a cancer survivor too in order to tell me that he understands. Although I sympathize with him, it was quite inappropriate for him to tell him that to gain sympathy. Now on their website, they offer a to provide another arrangement if you??re dissatisfied or they will give you a refund. I wasn??t asking for a full refund because I didn??t think that was fair. I asked for a partial one seeing that I didn??t feel that I got what I paid for. However, Gary insisted that they only thing that he would do was either make another arrangement and pick up the old one. OR He would pick everything up and give a refund. He would not budge on what I was asking for in a reasonable manner. I should also note that I worked in a flower shop so I know how much they are profiting off of one arrange. Flowers are typically marked up at least three times for how much flower shops pay for it since they get it at a wholesale price. So asking for a partial refund was being reasonable. But no, he wanted to disrupt someone??s day to pick everything up because he obviously doesn??t stand behind 100% customer satisfaction.

So all of you out there that need to send flowers to a loved one for any reason, I would encourage you to go elsewhere. Never in my life have I had to deal with a business person that behaved in the manner that Gary did.

We used Fiksdal Flowers for my mother's funeral. All arrangements that we ordered were co-ordinated with each other. The casket spray was beautiful. We felt that the arrangements were made by designers that cared. I will always use Fiksdal Flowers.

I ordered a plant for a funeral and a few days after the funeral, found out from the family that they never received it! The explanation was, "the plant was set somewhere else and wasn't delivered." They had no intention of fessing up to their mistake. Had the family not mentioned it, I would've paid for a plant that never even left their shop!

Horrible Service. Just called them to order flowers for a sick mom. Guy HUNG UP on me when I was surprised at his prices. Go somewhere else. They don't want you business!

Fiksdale Flowers has a nice selection of flowers and plants for the home or business. They have both indoor and outdoor portions of their store and both sections are very customer friendly. I have always found their workers to be quite outgoing and they all seem to really know the flower business well.
