Everett's Foods and Meats

Absolutely the finest meat market in the metro area. Not that I know of any better anywhere in Minnesota, but I do know the metro, and nobody tops Everett's. Home smoked hams, sausages, beef and pork products of all kinds. None better. (That Von Hansen's outfit in the 'burbs? Pshaw.) Plus they source the best whole chickens around. And these people are truly serious about sanitation.

Every now and then, someone will make a mistake with the salt - this is all done by hand, after all. But once you try them, you will keep coming back anytime you are serious about getting the good stuff.

Love, Everette's! Their meat market -- and let's face it, that's what you are really there for -- is amazing. With helpful, knowledgeable butchers who cut to your order and tell you how to prepare the meat -- what could be better. Well, glorious cuts of meat, local fare, and amazing sausage. For me, I feed my dogs raw food, which the bulk is whole ground chicken and bones. Everette's will do all of this for me at no extra cost; with chicken at $1.69 a pound this is cheaper than grinding myself and buying from Rainbow or Target. They bag for you and even though parking is literally right out the door, they carrying your packages out for you. Love the neighborhood experience!

The best old-fashioned grocery store with a contemporary selection of popular brands and a wide variety of off-the-wall brands just waiting to be tried out. I started visiting after I moved to the Standish area last year, and I rarely miss the Friday morning walk to this excellent store. The owner is a throw-back from the days when someone was actually glad to see a customer, and he always has time to say hi, and "thank you for shopping at Everetts." The butchers are fantastic, always willing to hand a customer a piece of meat to taste, and always willing to cut the meat the way the customer wants it. I used to shop the large chains to save a buck or two. Shopping at Everetts make that buck or two saved irrelevant. The best grocery store in the state...bar none.

I know people have their suggestions - but this is a MUST purchase from store - once you have - YOU WILL ALWAYS GO BACK!

The meat selection is 9 stars out of 5 - no matter where you are - it is worth the drive -

This is a weekly stop for me, and the quality is far superior to any of the local grocery store chains. Good prices and wonderful employees, in a place that feels right out of the 50's...it reminds me of my grandfather's grocery store.

The Butchers there are very knowledgeable. The are also willing to cut down the portions to the size you wuold like. I get the stuffed prokchops but can never finish them.

I first had Everett's Bratts at a friend's cook out and was blown away. I started shopping for my meat there soon after. Their sandwich meats a made without preservatives and their fresh flavor puts them head and shoulders over grocery store cold cuts. The price is not appreciably more than Oscar Mayer.
