If you want a good concert, EBC is the place. Aside from that, the messages are mostly shallow and sugarcoated, so as to not offend anyone. They also will not cause much spiritual growth either as most often, they are stories about trips, golf games, or quoting outside sources, and have little to do with the bible. Another thing about EBC, which is most disturbing, is the people. With few exceptions, they are not Kingdom oriented and they seem more concerned with promoting their church or their individual positions within the church than to extend genuine Christ like love and acceptance to others. It is much more like working in an office situation than attending a church. It doesn't take too long to realize EBC is following a business model, and a very successful one at that I might add. However, this is not the example Jesus has told us us follow. If you want a biblical church with genuine Kingdom People who will welcome you beyond the front doors rather than a "campus" where your only a number, you would be well advised to look elsewhere.

Went to one of the volleyball events that they have during summer. I was totally ignored. I wasn't even asked who I am or what is my name. That was my first and last time getting involved in any events they have. I guess that it was enough for me to develop some kind of phobia from ignorance. However, I enjoy the messages and the music. I try to keep a comfortable distance from this church. If I get too close, I'm afraid to get disappointed and stop going to church. I like this church and that is why I give it a low rating. I hope they (church) will notice this and will make some changes.

I can agree with one commet that this church is for people with established friends and family here in the area. Being an older single from outside this area i find the church very cold as far as inlarging your group of people you can trust and relay on, Inone year I have never seen Paster Bob come out to the people before or after church to meet or great all people at the services. He is real good at le.tting his congergation know how great and wonderful his life is with hunting, fishing, weekend at his lake cabin is tho. In the last year I have got involved with small group, threw my hat in to hrlp as much as I could at 180, and tried to estatablish a lasting connection at this church i would like to see a monthly gathering of singles at the church so that they can grt to know outher people who just might injoy the company and a chance to meet outher like minded christens. but have been told by pasters in charge that they were too overworked and the church was not in hookup business. too bad, l was always told to look for the good in people not the outher way around..maybe if BOB and the rest of the high staff could get out , greet all members who attend this church , the reat of the staff could see fit to do so also. I am meandering so time to quit, but little yhings could take the coldness out and bring in that warmth that newcomers look for

This church is wonderful! My husband and I have been attenders and members for 4 years, and because of it, our lives have changed for the better! Through EBC, we have been lead to God in a way we never imagined.

We feel so welcome, and have from day one. We have so many friends and wonderful acquaintances from this church. Though EBC is large, I feel like we know more people than not. There are many ways to meet others and become involved in this church, through volunteering, small groups, and church events.

It's also great that the weekends are run by volunteers! I don't know the numbers but I swear, the ratio of volunteers to staff is huge...we really are "owners" of this church!

Eagle Brook appealed to us as faith seekers, but as we've grown in our faith, we have been supported and invested in. :) You can definitely develop your faith here. The messages are great, relevant, and really make you think. If you're past the "seeker" stage, there are many opportunities for growth in this church. Even "mature" Christians will get a lot out of their experiences at EBC.

I just can't say enough about this amazing church.

I love this church. It has helped me form a deeper relationship with Christ, and the messages are full of nourishing truth. Anyone is welcome. The kids programming is very neat. If you are looking to meet people, I recommend signing up and committing to a small group or going on a mission trip. You could even start bringing your family and friends to church, because they will probably like it too.

I love that the crowd is people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Maybe you were raised Catholic, maybe you were raised Lutheran, here you can come together simply as Christians following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I think its really cool that because of their size you can actually see the impact they are making in the world. Through World Vision, the congregation actually sponsored every single child in a village in Africa (more than 1,100 children). Keep it up Eagle Brook!

We have been going to Eagle Brook for about 4 months now and absolutely love it! There are so many opportunities to grow your faith, connect with others, and bring God back into your life at your own pace. I sit there and listen to all the different programs this church offers to help us in our daily lives and feel so lucky that I can choose to better myself in so many ways. The small amount that they charge for some is well worth it. Many programs there are no fees. Quest 180, the Thurs. nite recovery program is free, the results are worth thousands.

This is hands down the most dynamic, life-breathing church in the Twin Cities. The staff truly has a heart for the lost and have made it their mission to reach people for Christ while at the same time leading believers through what a God-honoring life looks like. I can't recommend this church enough. Amazing Place.

- To respond to some of the negative reviews: I'd venture to guess that none of the users took part in small groups or served others with Eagle Brook. To even begin to assert that this church is based on ego or money is ridiculous. Those statements strip the staff and faithful church supporters of the true driving force behind all that Eagle Brook does. Eagle Brook does everything with the ultimate goal of reaching the lost for Christ. From flat screen TV's to free drug addiction programming and support to small groups for people of all walks of life, Eagle Brook as a body works to minister to the lost while supporting its faithful attenders. Any other assertion is based on unfounded bias and superficial judgement. It saddens me that people find it necessary to criticize a church that is doing everything in its power to have the largest impact possible on reaching the lost. It's not about the church, it's not about you, it's about your lost neighbor or family member. It's about our neighbors half way around the world with nothing that EB has so generously and consistently given to. This is a real, life breathing church that is spreading the Gospel - it's the real deal. It's nothing short of spectacular to watch God work in this church and through His people for His glory. I can't give Eagle Brook a high enough recommendation.

This is a wonderful place. No matter where you are at in your faith journey, you will love it here. I was saddened to read a few of the responses that I've read here, where people didn't feel welcome. The only thing I can suggest is that trust God and He will do the work that you need to feel like you belong there. The music is fabulous, the messages are ALWAYS great. Volunteer opportunities are plentiful, and I have found that to be a wonderful way to begin involvement. I will join a new group this fall, and am looking forward to that as well. I attended another "mega church" in Arden Hills that was a great church as well, for many years. I did not ever really feel like I was a part of things there, even though I taught Sunday school, volunteered in other ways (including greeter) and never really connected. I visited Eagle Brook with my adult daughter and her family - and while I was waiting in the lobby (several years ago, prior to the Lino campus opening), Pastor Bob actually sat down with me on a bench that I was sitting on and had a personal conversation with me that was warm and welcoming. He did not tell me who he was. You can imagine my surprise when I went in to the service and he started the message! Just give it a try. You'll be happy that you did.

For some odd reason, they charge for everything at this church, so if you're on a tight budget, it makes it hard to get involved in the extra activities.

I joined a group at this church and tried to make some friends there, but had no luck. I also went to volleyball in Roseville in hopes of making some friends, but again, I couldn't find anyone that would do more than just chat for a little while. They seemed nice and all, but they weren't inclusive and I couldn't get anyone to hang out with me. I've never had a problem at any other church before. Most people are happy to hang out with me and do things, but it seems like everyone at this church already has their friend quota full and isn't willing to hang out with anyone else.

I am a very happy attender of the new Spring Lake Park campus of Eagle Brook Church. I was also a long time attender of the original church before becoming adopted by Eagle Brook. But, oh how things have changed... You really must check it out for yourself.

After and during the service on 9/27/08 i felt that people were left out. Was I the only one that was on a fixed income, disabled, and just happy to make it there? It was good for people that had money, but what about those that don't? I left feeling very sad and angry at what life sent my way. So here i sit, upset and alone. I don't have the answer, but wish the next service is about how to deal with the living with little money.

I went to Eagle Brook Church for a year and really enjoyed the music. I also occassionaly heard a message that I got something from, but many of the messages were not very deep and lacked what I needed to really grow in Christ. The other big issue at this church was that most of the people are very clickish and lack Christ's love. I think this may be because most of the people that attend this church are young or immature in their faith. After attending for a year, we looked around for a while to find a church that would help us grow and had friendly people that shared Christ's love with everyone. This led us to finding Real Life Church in Roseville. It has great music as well and the messages are still seeker friendly, but have a greater depth and I have really started to grow in this church. It has a ton of people in their 20s and 30s, so its easy to make connections with alot of people and the church provides alot of event to encourage this. Well, I hope God leads you to the right church. Good luck.

The Edge service which takes place at the White Bear Campus is just amazing. It's a virtual rock concert for the first 30 minutes (christian music included). This campuses sound and acoustics are the best around. I was not normally a church person until a friend introduced me to Eagle Brook, and now it's my new home church. The speaking pastors have great messages each week and the congregation is one of the more friendly I have run across. I would encourage you to check it out!

PROS: Great Music, Messages and People
CONS: Some nights' music is a little hard core metal more than rock

We started attending Eagle Brook Church about 3 years ago, and have hardly missed a service since. They will soon be opening the Lino Lakes campus and will eventually be holding services at both Lino Lakes and White Bear Lake. I love the Saturday night services. Just gives you another option if Sunday mornings aren't as convenient. The pastors are great speakers. Yes, the church is very large. But once you become involved, it doesn't seem so big.

This church service will be something like you have never experienced before. Pastor Bob Merritt is an excellent speaker and will not leave you bored. The worship music is so uplifting. The kids programming is one of a kind--my kids actually beg us to go to church on the weekend. They offer Saturday evening services as well as Sunday morning.
