My husband and I went to Carroll's on a referral from two different friends who had bought from there a few years ago. We "ordered" a sectional and a leather couch in mid March of 2011. We put half down for the sectional and paid in full for the leather couch on on check card. Upon ordering we were told that we would have both items by Memorial weekend. A couple weeks after we "ordered", we received a phone call from the sales lady who asked us if we were ready to order... Confused and concerned, I told her/reminded her that we did order in March. The lady apologized and told me she had mixed us up with another order. Memorial weekend came and went. I called and asked what was up and they told me that the sectionals vendor was backed up and we could expect the sectional around the 4th of July. The 4th of July came and went... and no couch was delivered or contact made with any updates. So I called, and got the run around... again. They assured me that I would receive the sectional about August 10/11th.... but again, the 10/11th came and went. Extremely frustrated, I told my husband he needed to deal with this now... he called the store, got them same run around I had been getting. Asked for the owners number. My husband called the owner and left him a voicemail message telling him that this was all very fishy and we don't want anymore bull$hit. The owner returned my husband's call and said he is having cash flow problems and they are going out of business. He explained that a third party will be handling the business until they are closed officially in the end of November. My husband asked for a refund, and we were refunded our money for the sectional. We learned that our sectional was never ordered. My husband spoke with the vendor for the company that was to make our sectional to see if it was ordered (maybe we could buy it from them directly)? but it was never ordered. The lady actually told my husband her opinion was that Carroll??s was just taking orders from people to get some cash get by for a while. I am concerned about what would have happened to our money if we had not been so aggressive and actually believed their BS. I wanted to share our story incase others are having trouble with them... and for everyone else; do not buy anything from Carroll's furniture!

By far the worst experience I have ever had buying furniture or anything else, including a used car!!!!!!!! Delivery was supposed to be in 4-6 weeks. I know they never ordered my furniture from the manufacturer until I raised a fuss. Scott is a joke... he is rude, does not return phone calls or follow through on his promises. To make matters worse, I purchased the furniture warranty or protection program that he offers. He was supposed to get me the information on the program, never received it. He showed up at my house with nothing but a sales brochure explaining the program. and said "this is all I have, but you are registered for the program." Since I no longer trust a word that comes out of his mouth, I called the montage claims office to see if I was infact registered. Imagine my lack of surprise to find that in fact I was not registered with the warranty program. Scott had his office manager call me back to say that she does the warranty paperwork at the end of each month so I should see it next week. In the meantime I am sure that my purchase goes unprotected. This place is a joke!!! Spend a few extra bucks and get quality service elsewhere!!! Buyer beware on this place

I had the same experience with not being able to get an estimated delivery date for my order. I placed the order the 3rd wk of October and it is January 25 and I still do not have an estimated delivery date. Called Scott again & he told me to check back at the beginning of February. Scott does not return my calls and promises to call back with information and does not. He keeps changing his explanation for why it is taking so long. I also know someone else that is having the same problem and they placed their order in September.

Called again - spoke his employee who admitted it hadn't been ordered yet - and was told it would be ordered then and be delivered in October. Week after week, delivery date after delivery date passed despite repeated promises. Finally received it in January. Scott (the owner) was rude throughout the process, both on the phone and in person. WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH HIM OR THIS STORE AGAIN! Go elsewhere, spend a little more, and save yourself a hassle.

Great quality furniture and great prices. I bought a sectional 7 yrs ago from Carrolls Furniture. I fell in love with this sectional. It's still in great condition today. Very good quality, sturdy furniture. They have unique furniture. Not just your Slumberland or HOM furniture 7 piece sets type of furniture. Good quality. I will be buying furning from Carroll's again and telling everyone where I got it from. The staff was also very helpful in helping me find what I really liked. They even have layaway.

if you want to see some beautiful furniture. You need to comer here. It is amazing the peices that are in here. we were actually looking for a leather couch. the owner was nice enough to sell us one off the showroom floor because we were pressed for time. That meant the world to us. The prices and staff are wonderful. It is worth a stop.
