I went to Rookies for my first time ever. I was told that it's not a busy place at all so I was looking for a low key night. When I got there, there was a band which was excellent. We were playing games with friends when out of nowhere a manager who claims to be the owner starts a fight with us for no apparent reason. Considering that our group is not fighters we were shocked and we will let everyone know about our horrible experience.

Pros: Not crowded

Cons: not friendly

.

Rookies "sport bar" is not really a sports bar. Just putting up a tv or two, a couple of video games doesn't make a sports bar.
The drinks are spendy, even in Rochester, quality is poor, the bands are ok, but the acoustics in Rookies are more cave-like than anything else. Too much concrete and steel makes for a very loud bar. Don't even bother trying to have a conversation...you can't yell loud enough.
