It'll do if you're driving by and need a quick bite for lunch. Not sure about the "authentic" lasagna. I've lived in both Rome and Milan and can say for sure that Marinos food is nothing like the food there.

As an Italian I so appreciated that Marinos knew that Lasagne was a Cheese dish! Thanks to another review I saw this and had to try it. Amazing how in Minnesota everyone thinks that spaghetti sauce needs to be "hot dish" with all kinds of meat and stuff in it and that lasagne needs something other than Mozz, Parm, and Ricotta! Thanks for making it right Marinos! P.S. Took a case of Italian Sausage home after I tried that!

Marino's is a tiny, family owned Italian deli in NE Minneapolis, just behind the Quarry on Johnson and 22nd. They have huge, delicious meatballs and the best pasta sauce I've had. Their prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. They also have great take and bake pizzas for under $10.

Pros: meatballs, sauce, ravioli, spaghetti, italian sausage, pizza

Their Lasagne is the most basic. Just flat noodles with what seemed to be one layer of cheese in the middle layer. Basic red sauce on top. Their is no meat or seasonings in the lasagne. It can be ordered with meatball or sausage on the side. It should be advertised as meatless. Little if any cheese on top. I do not recomend. The bread was under cooked, gummy on the inside.

if you have never been to italy to taste the "real" mozzorella cheese on a sandwich, dont worry, you can come here and feel like you are in venice. This place is amazing. It is in a cute neighborhood behind the Quarry. It looks like a little house. Everything is so fresh. I had a bean and sausage soup that was out of this world. The sandwiches are extremely tasty.
