I highly recommend this wonderful clinic and great vet! Dr Kristina is so knowledgable and really educates pet parents on their pets. She has a great bedside manner with her patients and her staff is very friendly and helpful.

We adopted a new kitten from a shelter in Northern Minnesota, and were trying to save money on his neuter surgery. We found that Maplewood Pet Care Clinics prices were fair, so we sheduled an appointment and brought our kitten in to be neutered. Less than 2 hours later, we were advised that our kitten could not be neutered because his lab work showed he had anemia, as well as a very rare & fatal parasite called Cytauxzoon Felis. We went to pick him up and the vet said "95% of cats with this parasite die quickly, but if he makes it you can reschedule his neuter in a month or keep him comfortable until he's euthanized..." The vet was cold and looked really annoyed as our 2 children were sobbing. We paid our $81.00 blood work bill and brought our kitten home. We read everything we could about this parasite (frightening) and then brought him into our primary vet the very next morning for a second opinion. We willing paid for additional blood work to be sent to a pathologist. Bottom line...The Pathologists Report found - No Anemia, No evidence of deadly parasite... just a healthy, normal kitten! Due to the misdiagnosis, cold interaction, flippant attitude of staff and refusal to refund the $81.00 fee we paid them, we wouldn't trust or recommend Maplewood Pet Care Clinic with ANY pet.

I brought my cat here to be spayed and declawed and she had an okay experience. The prices are kind of high but, they are able to do laser de-clawing for older cats.

I brought my puppy there for boarding one day, and things went just fine. Staff took her outside often and let her play around in the yard. They have a large play yard for the dogs to run around in. I was very happy. However I called for weekend boarding and learned that I would not be able to pick my dog up on Sunday because no one works that day. So not only would I have to pay for another night, but who is taking care of my dog on Sunday?
