They saved my old truck. My old truck spring mount rusted away. I thought I would have to sent it to the scrap yard. Talked to Bill he said bring it in and lets see what we can do with it. He found all the parts for a 20 year old truck and had it back on the road in two days. All for a fair price.

My family have been bringing their cars to Wholesale Auto for years.
We have been happy with their work and prices. We are always called before any work is done. We are now on the third generation of drivers that use them.

One day my check engine light came on while I was driving home from work. When I got home I called some friends and a few of them told me to call Bill at Wholesale Auto Repair. They got my car in that day and within 10 minutes they came back to tell me the gas cap was loose and there were no serious problems with the car. I was totally at their mercy and to give me such honest and simple solution, I was thrilled. I will be coming back again now I know there is some one nearby I can trust.

I have been going to Wholesale Auto Repair since I had my very first car. I took my car to them the first time when I thought I needed new brakes. After about 5 min the mechanic came and told me my brakes were still in very good shape and the noise I heard was a rock rubbing in there. They sent me on my way at no charge. Who knew such an honest repair shop still existed!

We have taken our vehicles to them for years. I like their prices and they are nice folks. They aren't perfect but we will continue to use them. They have taken the time to explain things to me. We took my daughter's car in this past spring because it wasn't acting right and was surprised that a very knowlegable and trusted friend had put in the wrong size spark plug. I have always thought that a spark plug was a spark plug.

I took my car to Wholesale Auto Repair in Brooklyn Park, MN to have a head bolt heater installed a few years ago. I was shocked and very impressed when Bill came into the waiting area to inform me I already had one, (the cord was hiding up inside) and there would be no cost for the appointment!! I am convinced most repair shops would have not been so honest and charged me for the heater I already owned, plus labor!! Thanks Bill!

This AAA recommended certified mechanic is a smooth talker. His shop, location, amenities, and map is listed under AutoZone Procare Website. They advertise that their members do free engine/ electrical/battery checks. I'd had it checked at Champion Auto for free, when it wouldn't hold a charge. I call him, to support local, small shops, and I'd used him before. I told him I needed a battery. He said to bring it right in. When I did, he came out and tells me he ran his check, and for $29.95, tells you it's dead. Then, the only battery he will sell you is the top of the line, Napa 950 crank,it's $90. You tell him you cannot afford that, can you go get a cheaper battery, and have him install it? NO. He "sells" the battery, and when you are finished, he has also charged $52.85 to install, because he had to "take the wheel off". Chrysler,(charges $25) "in all their wisdom", he said, designed it that way. This is an 86 month battery with 2 year full replacement. You have work done on your other car, he charges $85 to "fix" the speedometer, but doesn't fix it, and leaves out half the screws reattaching the dash. Your $30 oil change does not include topping off washer fluid, doesn't want bottles laying around. He overcharges about $85 on a speed sensor, $70 to run test, when you have already told him what is wrong, have checked on prices over the weekend, using his very own Autozone/Procare website, that he claims he doesn't have, and never signed up for. (there is no way that you could be on there unless you signed up for it, according to Autozone). You decide to cut your losses, and never to go back. Your battery dies, again and again within a year and a half. I took out the owner's manual, followed instruction, and simply turn wheel all the way to the right, slide battery out. Discover that battery was 15 months old when he put it in, without greasing posts or using felt protectors, and post crusted 1/4 inch thick. Do you think he may use these new batteries in his own cars, then trade them out into customers? I called him on it, after I, by myself, had reinstalled the new Napa battery replacement, because Napa has to honor it from the time I bought it. I upgraded it, the one he sold me was the "generic, and 850 cold crank." The guys at Napa were uncomfortable when they asked me when I bought the battery, then I showed them the invoice. They also told me that their batteries are not to be held more than 3 months, and should have been rotated back. When I called and told him he had some explaining to do, he talked in circles after the shock wore off. He said if I'd have called him, he'd have towed it in,and replaced it free of charge...sure, and forgo the $53install? I told him I had decided by then, I'd never let him near my cars again, why would I call him? He kept insisting it was my fault, but I said that I'd never had discovered his latest ripoff if I hadn't taken it out myself, a simple job, maybe he should look at a manual to see how it's done, takes about 15 minutes. ,I told him he was a crook and liar and had overcharged me all told, $467 since I'd first used him. When he asked what he could do for me now, I said I wanted some monies reimbursed.(he charges more than Chrysler besides padding and drags out the verbal on invoices with ridiculous redundant details that don't need to be written down.) He said, "that'll never happen". I will be taking him to court, reporting to BBB, AAA and Attorney General. Oh yes, you can get right in, and don't forget to ask for your receipt and the $25 new customer discount or senior discount,He "forgets", but if you call him, you can come right back and he'll give it to you. Worst experience I've ever had, and I've had cars for 45 years. He thinks you're stupid, especially if you are, like me, a Woman.

PROS: They may give you a ride home, and pick you up if you live close.
CONS: Wholesale is probably higher than retail.
