I have been bringing my animals to Funks for 25+ years. they used to be located in a small brown building accross the street from SuperAmerica. I have to say that I still receive pretty good service however, it certainly not the old Funks that I was used to. when Mr Funk was alive the clinic was uncomparible. the service recieved was outstanding. The vets were amazing and genuinly cared about every family member that was involved with the care of a pet. I've been through epilepsy and cluster seizures where if it weren't for Dr Tracy Thomas I don't know that I would still have my baby boy 11 years later. New funks or Compassionate Care is definitly not old Funks.

I do have to say I did lose some respect when my unemplyed sisters dog started having seizures and she brought him to Compassionate Care for help. she went in the building and begged the staff to help her. I don't have any money and my dog is in my care dying...please help me. the staff looked at her and said we're sorry we can't help you.

I have to give them very poor care review. The front desk people were friendly and nice. The Vets were borderline incompetent. My family and I had taken are pets to Funks for over 35 years at the time of my nightmare experience with them.

It is with a heavy heart that my opinion of Funk / Compassionate Care has fallen from 'satisfactory' to 'wouldn't recommend'.. It was far better run when it was still Funk Animal Hospital. I agree with another reviewer who stated it's 'musical doctors' over there..you never know who you will see. I often get blank stares from the vet techs when I ask questions - not the mention the awful accusatory looks I get from two of them every time I go in because my dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes and, as they care to remind me every single time I go in, she must have been suffering with it for some time before I caught on.. That said, it was the Funk staff that led me to believe her initial rear leg issues were merely arthritis.. Anyways, I don't feel as though they communicate well at all, you never know who your pet will be seeing, and they are entirely inflexible when it comes to taking special considerations to heart in terms of treatment..

The staff at the desk are good as well as the assistant. However, Dr. Judy has horrible bedside manners. She is good to the animal but, is rude when talking to you. I wondered if it was an off day at first but, then realized it was her. There is no way anyone that goes there doesn't see this with her. She is abrupt and rude, not to mention you better not have a question. My pet passed away and I called to ask some questions..just for my well being. I asked if she could call me back. I was told by her assistant she was busy til close and couldn't call me back. Really? After being at this vet for the last 5-7 years,,you can't take 5 minutes and call me back so I can ask some questions. My dog died suddenly and I didn't know who to ask questions to but, thought his DR. would give me 5 minutes. Pets are a part of the family..I consider mine one of my children..You treat the family when you go there not just the animal. ROGER PET CLINIC is awesome. Try them and you won't go back.

This is a really great vet! They take a lot of time to sit with you and discuss your pet. It has always been really clean and well kept. I would recommend them to anyone.

Nice staff, average vets, poor customer service. They were fine until I had a real, serious problem with one of my pets. They own another clinic (Compassionate Care Clinic), and vets bounce back & forth, so it is musical doctors. Their communication seems constantly crossed.

When I expressed my concerns (rather focibly, I admit, after 4 days of stress about whether my pet was going to live or die) I never spoke with admin. I was simply sent a letter dismissing me as a client--which was fine, as I already had gone elsewhere. I credit that Dr. with saving my pet's life. If I had continued with Funk, he would have died, given the generic, CYA approach to their care.

I am hyper-uptight about the care of my pets, as they are my family. I believe this was seen as a problem instead of me being a concerned "parent."

I have brought my pets here for annual vacc. The staff is great. Very friendly, not only to me but my pets as well. Which is wonderful. They always tell you what they will be doing so i am aware. The price range is good. Not too expensive. I really enjoy coming in and I know my pets like it too. They are taken care of very well here. What more could I ask for.

I took my dog there this am. The wait was a little longer than expected but they were busy. The service was great. They were very gently with my animal and friendly. They also explained everything so I would understand what was happening. The price is about average. For a shot, 2 kinds of medicine and a check up it was $100. I guess that would be normal. I would recommend them to anyone in the area. Very animal friendly place.
