I do not want to come across as racist. Although I am white both my cousin and my niece are married to wonderful African American individuals. But I was groped by an African American person at this store. He turned out to be an employee here! I did not realize this at first because his appearance was unkempt. When my boyfriend spoke with the manager about it later the same day, he was stonewalled. We contacted the main company and they launched an investigation. They followed up to inform us that they could not get a confession out of this person, and the interview / interrogation was difficult, because he has a history of mental problems! Not sure what the Whole Foods internal procedure is supposed to be here. But I cannot recommend or return to this store.

Whole Foods is my favorite grocery store. Some of their prices are a little high, but as far as organic groceries go, it could be worse. They also have good selections of premade/take-out meals, suppliments and vitamins, all-natural cosmetics and self-care products, and exercise equiptment/videos.

I was quite a fan of Whole Foods when I first moved to the area. I was trying to buy "organic" more and Whole Foods was very accessible and in many instances priced quite reasonably, contrary to the opinion of many when the organic question comes up. I've since become a bit sour on them, as I have read instances of the company discouraging Union formation/joining and their corporate juggernaut leanings.

Whole Foods Market promotes local products as well as products from all over the world. The products available in their stores represent the highest quality and least processed foods available.

The company currently employs 32,000 Team Members, providing them with career opportunities, competitive wages, and a strong benefits package. They are an international company currently operating in 3 countries and actively sharing information with consumers about the benefits of natural and organic foods.

Whole Foods contributes to each community it belongs to by being an active participant in that community's events. Each store develops a unique relationship with it's neighbors. They contribute to food banks, support local events, make donations to local charities, promote local growers, and support their Team Members in doing community service work.

I have worked in the organic food industry for over 35 years and watched as the industry matured. I was once asked, as a food manufacturer, what I would do when the bigger companies got involved. I answered that I would help them. If we are interested in preserving the health of our planet, we will need everyone. How exclusive is it to say that a retail chain that is composed of some of the pioneers in the organic food industry is not a good steward. We need to help each other in the struggle to save our planet. Solidarity is called for.

We must all help each other to grow or we will no longer have the luxury to take a reductionistic, Luddite approach to preserving local, sustainable agriculture. The Earths clock is ticking. It is impressive that the organic market is 3% of the total US food market, but what of the other 97%. Those who appreciate workers rights might want to take a look at how Whole Foods compensates its workers as well. It offers a market to many local producers and pays fair prices. The price of the organic food reflects the efforts of the industry to support local organic family farms and small businesses.

I applaud the efforts of all those who are brave enough to work for the preservation of the planet. That is the goal all of us need to focus on. Thank you Whole Foods for helping.

Whole Foods Market does support local growers and vendors. In fact, on September 10th from 10 am 3 pm, you can see some of the local vendors that Whole Foods Market St. Paul works with at The Local Vendor Fair. Whole Foods Markets local vendors include, but are not limited to the following: Farmers All Natural Creamery, Toast to Bread, Holyland, Organic Valley, Natural Ovens, Schroeder, Cedar Summit Farms, Glad, Whole Grain Milling, Schultz Eggs, Lisas Salsa Company, Indian Lake, Country Choice, French Meadow Bakery, and Eichtens. Due to seasonality it is impossible to provide local products in some departments year-round, but Whole Foods Market tries to support local growers and vendors as much as possible. Stop by and check them out!

Buy local. Whole Foods doesn't . Further, they compete with coops that support local food webs. There are now 85 Whole Foods locations, and they are all owned by the same conglomerate that owns Fresh Field's, Bread and Circus, Mrs. Gooch's, Wellspring Grocery, Bread of Life and the Merchant of Vino chains. IOW, they are the WalMart of the green market. Think about where your $ are going & ditch this place.

PROS:
CONS: antithesis of why you spend $ on organic

Shopping at Whole Foods is a totally organic experience. The items they carry are fresh & nice, however I find it much too expensive to use regularly. I tend to use only when looking for specialty items.

PROS: Unique Items
CONS: Expensive

Whole Foods offers a wide variety of organic, natural, and healthy foods. Most of their stores get a high KidScore for amenities like family restrooms...
