I took my '99 Jetta to these guys because I heard about them through word of mouth. My check engine light was on and the windshield wipers were not working. They called back within 1 hour and first told me the wiper motor had caused the check engine light to come on equating to a $1150 bill, then changed their story half way through the conversation saying the gas cap was loose causing the light and the wiper motor just blew a fuse. The end bill was only $50, but they first wanted to see if i'd bite on the $1150 bill, not wise or honest with me. I also smelled pot when I went to pick up my car and pay my bill. When I said something to the clerk, he told me they were the owner and "that isn't what you smell" and that he is in AA so he doesn't do that stuff. What ever it was I won't be going back.

Pros: quick call back for service

Cons: bad repair and smells of pot

Tucked away under the railroad tracks, I've driven by countless times over the past few years taking into account the catchy name but never having considered stopping in for service because I always just brought my Jetta to the dealership. But when my car's warranty expired and issues arose with a battery I purchased at a local autostore, I dreaded going clear across town to contend with rush hour traffic to the dealership and then remembered about Good Carma.

I called in and drove down after lunch and was driving the half-mile back to work within 20 minutes. The building is much larger than it appears. I believe they have 10 stalls.

The owner, Bill Jaap, was extremely personable and explained how they offer factory scheduled maintenance in addition to other services and repairs. The factory maintenance is what sold me. Bill also took the time to look at my damaged grill and offered ideas on how to fix it.

Pros: Comparably priced, expedient, personable/knowledgeable staff

Cons: No loaners but doesn't really impact me since I work close

Gave up after bringing the car back three times for the same problem. No followup, no road test to see if they actually fixed something - just more bills and more things to try

Pros: Good with the basics

Cons: Not good at troubleshooting

My 1999 A4 1.8t was giving me grief on the road. Called these guys and they guided me through what was wrong with my car and so I stopped in for the repair. Was fixed in less than 2 hours and they only charged me for the actual time it took to get it done, unlike some shops that gouge you on labor.

I have started taking my audi to this place everytime. The honesty and personal service is unmatched. Definitely a recommend.

Pros: Family owned and down to earth, nice shop.
