I have had pizza in San Francisco, all up and down the peninsula in the Bay area, Chicago, New York. Still can not find a pizza that can compares to the Savoy. They say it is the water that makes the crust, that makes a good pizza. The mighty ole miss is doing a fine job.

This place is well known for one thing...
Their cheesy, hot, (insert adjective here) pizza!
When I think pizza, I think Red's. This place is a very bar and grillish looking, but the pizza is to die for.

Executive Pizza

This place is sweet. I recommend starting off with a dominant bloody mary. The pizza and bloody combo is sure to satisfy. Go for the atmosphere, stay for the bloody's and pizza.

The Pizza of Your Dreams

When friends who live in the far-western suburbs told me that they drive across the Cities to Reds Savoy Pizza, I thought, quite frankly, that they were nuts. Until I tasted it; now I think theyre perfectly reasonable.
Reds is anything but fancy. Theres one room that has been nominally divided into a restaurant and a bar. Even with non-smoking regulations, it may be years before the smell of smoke is totally gone. Tables and booths are close together, and the big screen TV sets display the sport of the season, making a generally noisy atmosphere in the whole place.
But Reds is all about pizza, and they do that better than anyone. If you show up on a weekend evening, plan to wait close to an hour for your pizza. The steady stream of people from the door to the cashier are all folks who have called in their carry-out order in advance. Id love to tell you exactly what makes their pizza so good, but Id have trouble deciding between the hand-tossed crust, the nicely spiced sauce, the generous layers of toppings, and the cheese that covers everything.
PROS: It's all about the pizza.
CONS: Minimal off-street parking, crowded, noisy.
