There is only 1 option at LIndey's, Steak. If you like your steak medium well or more don't come because you won't be happy. The rare stake is cold pretty much the whole way through and one of the few steak houses that can serve it that way.

Shrimp is an option but why would you choose it. Many people complain about the sides. Potatoes, salad and pickled watermelon. If you go for the sides, don't come either. I enjoy everything but you don't get a choice so your out of luck if you don't.

Fridays during Lent are empty so the best time to go if you are a heathen. Get your steak rare if you can handle it, medium is like burning it, medium well: Go somewhere else they have plenty of business.

Pros: Best steak I've ever had

Cons: No options, only steak

Lots of meat at this place! Well worth the price. Very small menu - only 4 options. Wine list also small. Our waitress was very sweet.

The first time I visited the establishment, I was not to sure because of it's appearance. Once I tasted that food, Oh my goodness. It is the best steak I have ever ever had. I am not a steak eater but when I do want it I will be going there from now on.

I was taken here by my now husband on our first date 8 years ago. This was fancy for him but I was not at all impressed with any of it. The food was horrible. I am not a sirloin eater so the choices sucked. Where's the Ribeye or Filet? I understand you're sticking with what's kept you a float fro many years but you need some variety. The steak we got was huge and tough.
In the end our first date was still the best and even after this less than mediocre meal I still knew I was going to marry him!

You can trust the previous (negative) reviews. They are pretty much spot on. The potatoes are salty. The garlic bread actually does look like it's made from hotdog buns. But whereever it can from, it is just toasted garlic butter on white bread. The butter-fried mushrooms were typical. The steak was nothing special. Mine was actually partially tough and chewy. There were a lot of overweight patrons in the place. The special was not special in any way I could tell.

If you want a yuppie trough like Kincaid's, stay home or find another place to eat.

This is a great place to eat. Old time decor, no flash, no chrome, no loud music. The salad is simple, the garlic bread is tasty and crisp.

The charm is in the simplicity of the menu and the food. Okay, they have a limited selection. This is good, in that you know what you are getting. Meat tends to run a bit rare so order accordingly. The pour a great drink, I would think the best in the twin cities. You actually get a full shot or better. We have been there 3 times since the first of the year and have yet to be disappointed.

This is a steak house, plain and simple. If you are some kind of a disenfranchised yuppie looking for the focus to be on you and your self centered desires go else where please. There are many of us who want to eat here.

Great food, good service, very good drinks!

You could read all the reviews of Lindey's. Or you could man up and go see for your self. Yes the decor has not changed since 1961. Why remodel when the craptacular REAL not RETRO decor still works so well? The drinks are stiff and reasonably priced. The crowd seems to love the ambiance. The casual old school supper club aura brings back memories of going out for dinner in rural Wisconsin. Where Grandma was drinking Gray Hounds, Grandpa Scotch and my parents Martinis...
Yes there is only 2-3 choices on the menu. So what? It makes it easy to order. Have a drink and have fun. Leave your pretentious snobby friends at home and come with your comfortable laugh at any thing buddies and you will enjoy what Lindey's has to offer.
Contrary to popular belief the garlic bread is great and it is not made on hotdog buns... It just looks that way, lol.
The Salad is totally old-school. Like in the old days you get what the house thinks is their speciality. Some think the Iceberg lettuce single tomato Thousand Islandish salad is a rip off. I think it goes fine with the setting.
Its not like your Grandma ever made a better salad.
The Top of the line $27.00 Lindey's special cut is HUGE. Do not order 2 for your date and yourself. Order one and pay the dang plate charge. Get the side of mushrooms and spend the $17.00 you saved on wine or desert. The cut is the size of a Nerf football. They cut it for you table side and it finishes on your 700 degree plate... They do run a little rare. If you are squeamish about "pink" order your steak one level of "done" over what you might usually order.
A little wacky? Yes.
Funky? Yes.
Formal? No.
Fun? Yes.
I would have to say Lindey's is a lot like Nye's without the cabbage and scary waitresses.
Go have a few bumps in the bar while you wait for your seat. Split a meal with your date and giggle all through dinner while you rip on the locals and the decor.
Its not Manny's, Ruth's or Kincade's
It's Lindey's!!!

Lindey's was everything I expected it to be. I do not understand the people on this board that say it needs to be remodeled. That would totally take away from it's charm. If you want fancy go to Ruth Chris, etc. I felt like I was at an old supper club up north. My steak was delicious. The drinks were good. I chuckled at the salad, but it is exactly what I would expect to be served in an old supper club.
I kept think about how my dad would love the place. I thought the menu was charming. The easel they brought to the table sure makes it easy to decide on what you want to order. Nothing worse than going to a place with 100 items on the menu and they dont specialize in anything. You know this place specializes in steaks and our steaks were better than the steak we had at Kincaids last week! Lindey's is a piece of history. If you appreciated history and want to try something different from the "urban" scene. Check this place out.

Don't bother with this place. They have just 2 items on the menu, sirloin steak, or shrimp. No reservations. They moved into this remote location in 1961 and haven't spent a dollar on the place since then.

First time either of us went to the place. They have an unattended coat room so we brought our winter gear with us to the small table for 2. A huge menu board was placed right next to our table, pretty tacky experience. The menu lets you select the Lindey's special, or a $2 cheaper cut, or some sort of ground up scraps option. Or for $27 you can have the 6 shrimp meal. That's it, aside from an optional side of mushrooms or a desert choice. The steak is said to be 14 ounces and said to be "served family style with salad, greasless hashbrowns and garlic toast" so we figured just one steak dinner and were told there would be a split plate charge of $10. In retrospect, we recommend you take the split.

We were served an iceberg lettuce salad with more-green-than-red cherry tomatoes, and what seemed to be a thousand island dressing. We also were served "hotdog bun garlic toast" and some sort of secret recipe hashbrowns.

When we cut into our steaks they were not "warm center" but instead "cold center" - thankfully the table included postcards to instruct us what a rare steak was and what our medium-rare was supposed to be. They took the steaks back and cooked em a bit more.

This place is not a fine dining experience. The beef is not so amazing either. I would not return.

Suggestions - #1 Expand menu to include Prime Rib and Filet. #2 Real Menus. #3 Remodel. #4 improve the salad and bread.

Suggested alternative - the Lakeside Club / Al's Bunker at 10 Old Wildwood Road Mahtomedi.

Pros: has been supporting a family and their employees for 50 years, congradulations on this

Cons: 1961 decor, limited menu, middle of nowhere location, did not live up to reputation

Had a good friend tell me about this place, and man was he on the ball when he said "A true Steak House".
The very nice cabin feel made us feel like we left the cities and went up north. The Steaks are cut table side and served on a hot steel plate...that is very different then other steak places. The tap beer was ice cold and the meal was very filling. As we left I saw they now sell their steaks over the internet. I asked about it...they cut their own steaks! And have been for over 50 years, wow. The host told me downstairs they have a cutting room and that is where the "cutting magic" happens. I am going online and getting some for the grill that's for sure. I am not sure what others have been talking about, this place is awesome! Big meal, good price for the amount of food and a great value and service.....get your feed bag on. Steak is what?s for dinner!

I have been going there for 11 years and my inlaws for over 30+ years. Saturday night two of us had to send our steaks back two time to get the cooked. We requested they be butterflied and it was never done. By the time our steaks came the third time, I was out of the mood. I do not think training a new cook is a good enough excuse for a place like Lindy's. It was extremely disappointing and will not go back for a very long time. Very sad. Just not what we were use to and expected. I noticed the crowds were down. A shame

Growing up, Lindey's was the place to go - great supper club ambiance and supposedly fabulous food. I recently dined there and thought I was on another planet with such high prices for steak (sirloin?) and a menu on an easel? For those of you who think it is the place to be, you are really missing out on better values for your $$$ and not the major steak chains either. The stiff drinks probably cloud your judgment. I split the meal with my husband and was charged $10 to share some sort of paste potatoes, the sizzling steak tasted like it was previously frozen which was so raw, it was still mooing and you couldn't chew it and a plastic bowl that served iceberg lettuce with some sort of orange blob in the middle. Oh and don't forget the hot dog buns (aka: garlic toast). Our meal with a nice bottle of wine and tip was close to $90.00! It really angers me being so horrifically disappointed in spending hard earned money on such a nightmare dining experience. My husband complained and they were insulted that he would think to criticize this famous restaurant that holds its clientele on a reputation that has seen its hey-day. What did they do? They gave him a steak to go thinking this would resolve our complaints when in fact, it only made matters worst. My husband couldn't chew the one steak he paid for, why would they think a 2nd steak would be better? For those of you who think this place is still the place to be - I would suggest that you expand your palate and realize there are so many better restaurants serving wonderful steaks at a cost that you feel is worth the money. I have dined in some of the best restaurants in major cities across the US and have yet to ever be so disappointed in a dining experience that I would have to take the time to write a review like this.

I totally agree with are you kidding, I noticed his review was back at the beginning of the year!
We where just there a week ago. The reason I have waited was to see if my feeling of total disapointment
would go away but it has not. I recieved gift certificates for this restaurant even with them I do not want to go back. The salad really was iceberg lettuce and nothing more, the dressing was unique and quit tasty.
Now for the negatives. we hwere there shortly after they opened on a thur. evening, we were waited on quickly. When ordering our steaks we went with the premier sirloin. We where informed that rare would be cold inside and that med. red would be warm but pink. so we order our steaks med. rare. why the waitress didn't tell us the truth I don't know but the steak was raw and very cold inside. as for service you would think that we would not have to go find someone to correct our steaks but we did. we also never where asked if we wanted to refill our drinks.(now remember we are the only ones in the restaurant during our entire dinner) well I will quit boring you But I could go on all night. but here is my dilema. I had 2 gift cert. each for $25 And they would only let us use one at a time. My wife is refusing to go back , so if there is one of those amazing devoties who would like a great deal on their favorite restaurant please feel free to contact me at 763-370-1244 and I will give you a $25 cert, for $15

I cannot understand the cult of customers this place commands. Four and a half stars? Are they kidding? This place is vastly over-rated. I will say that the atmosphere is appropriately kitsch and what I expected, but for the price, some of the worst food I have ever been served.

First, the good news: The drinks were good and so was the service.

Now the bad news: First the salad - lilted iceberg lettuce with a single (I'm not kidding) cherry tomato passes for a salad here, with one choice (apparently thousand island) of dressing. Only three steaks from which to choose (all sirloin), and one side item (misnamed 'greaseless' home fries, because they were definitely greasy).

With respect to the steaks, they are quite generous. Otherwise, they were low on taste and not very tender. I would tend to agree with another of the reviewers here in that I believe the bread they serve is simply cut-up hot dog buns slathered with some garlic salt concoction and baked crisp.

Overall, one of the worst values in Twin Cities dining. For a little more, you can go downtown and have a truly great meal at one of the many great eateries in the TC. Somebody should also revise the 'kid friendly' designation this place gets on this site. There are only three meal choices (no, I'm not kidding) and I don't think any of them are particularly 'kid friendly).

Lindey's is a classic steakhouse. They do steak and they do it extremely well. If you're looking for 12 different dressings to go with your fancy salad, go elsewhere. If you want a big dessert, again you're gonna have to go elsewhere. If you think you might want chicken that night, you need to go somewhere else. I've been going there for years and it is by far one of the top places in town. Manny's steak is probably a little bit better but who needs a 28 oz New York Strip and enough mash potatoes to feed your table and all your neighbors? I love the garlic bread, my theory is it's really hot dog buns and they cut it up to hide that fact. And no one has mentioned the fabulous potatoes. As a matter of fact I'm going there in a couple of weeks!

Lindey's has great steak. For those of you who panned this place, I do not understand. Unless you wanted steak that tasted like some salty marinade or soy sauce where the flavor of the meat is covered up by spices or salt, I suppose you might have been dissapointed. Lindey's steak is BEEF. It tastes like beef. This is the best spot for a "meat and potatoes" person. The steak was cooked to order (medium rare is best, just warm in the middle) for full flavor. If you order it well done, well, that's your fault. Tender and melt in the mouth. They serve sirloin. This is the best sirloin I have ever had. Perhaps I have had equally as good fillet or prime rib, but for sirloin it is the tops.
No choices... they don't need any.
Order the "special" its only a buck more. What's the difference? A buck!
Kids can eat off your plate or they'll do a grilled cheese with chips for them.
Mashed/grilled potatoes, with a little of the meat juice, great! They serve the spuds on a platter so you can take home the leftovers. They still tasted great a couple of days later.
If you don't want beef, don't come. If you don't want sirloin, don't come. If you want beef that needs to be rubbed in spices and salt (or worse yet, covered with "steak sauce" to make it taste good), don't come.
If you want the best 16oz slab of BEEF you've ever had, this is the place!

Pros: Great BEEF (sirloin)

Cons: No choices.

For over 30 years, I've lived in Phoenix. But I often visit my vacation home in Minnesota, all 4 seasons. I never miss at least one dinner party at Lindey's each time, to entertain neighbors who watch over my home during my absence.. Whyl Ruth's Chris is also excellent, Lindey's is more than comparable, at a fraction of the price. The serviings are so generous that invariably we all have 'take home' packages. Until recently, they did not accept credit cards. Several years ago, I was embarrased to find insufficient cash in my wallet to pay the tab. The owner most kindly just said I could pay the bill by check after returning to Arizona. (Otherwise I'd still be washing dishes there?)

Even the wine selections are of excellent quality, and modestly priced.

I'm returning to St. Paul in mid November, and can't wait to visit them again -- and won't have to eat for a week thereafter -- LOL.

I only knew Lindey's from a highway sign, not by its apparently legendary reputation in the Twin Cities. However, I love good steak, and my experience has been that local steak houses beat the chains by a long shot. Lindeys was truly a unique experience. This is the kind of restaurant that locals have been coming to for years, and apparently know what they like. Lindey's gives them exactly that and no more. There may be more nostalgia in the reviews than objective assessment of quality. The atmosphere is definitely "homey" but that can be charming in today's overdecorated eateries. I have hardly ever been to a restaurant where there were only three choices of entre. Since the difference between the Prime Sirloin and the Special was only a dollar, everyone goes for the top-priced cut. Sixteen dollars for chopped sirloin is really absurd as a third choice. The sirloin was large (I couldn't finish it) and reasonably well prepared, but I would have preferred a more seared exterior. It was tender, but as others have noted, surprisingly flavorless. The sauce was buttery and more tasty than the meat. I ordered sauteed mushrooms at $4.95, but they appeared to be canned. The salad was truly a joke. A bit of iceberg lettuce and one cherry tomato in what seemed to be a mixture of catsup and mayonnaise. I come from the Southwest. There are better, more flavorful steak cuts than sirloin, and my steak at Lindey's, while perhaps prime beef, tasted as if it never had been aged, so there was no really beefy taste. I had a good martini for $5.00, and a good glass of cabernet. I guess I need to try a few more places. It would be sad if this was truly the best steak house the Twin Cities has to offer. Again, I think this is a place that rests on its local reputation. The manager seemed to be part of the family, and greeted many happy diners by name, and this kind of personal attention rather than the objective quality of the food is what brings people back.

Cons: Extremely limited menu; bland steak

Don't bother, the chain steak houses are head-and-shoulders better.

We tried this place with a buddy who was back in town for a weekend from Asia. We picked Lindey's because we wanted some good steak but didn't want to driver far. I had some reservations about the place since I'd lived near the area of 10 years and no-one suggested we go there. Howerver after reading many solid reviews here we decided to try it out.

Bad mistake. We tried their signature steak and it was truely horrible. Although rare like we like steak, it was tasteless and basically a flavorless piece of cheap meat. But cheap meat usually has a good meat taste to it that this lacked. At nearly $30/person that was extremely over priced and poor quality. The only thing that I could recommend is the garlic toast.

If you are on the fence because of the varying reviews like I was, don't. We'll never go back eventhough its nearly in our backyard.

My husband and I were visiting our daughter who attends a college close by to Lindey's. Thinking we wanted to take her to a "nice" dinner, we chose Lindey's due to recommendations from locals. To our great disappointment, the food was expensive, only choice of two steaks on the poster sized menu that night. Our salad was iceberg lettuce with a pale tomato wedge and not sure what the standard dressing was. No choice of potato with the meal as it came with Lindey's "secret recipe potato" that tasted something like over fried potato with vicks vapo rub seasoning. The steak was just ok without much flavor. Still wonder what everyone sees in this place, is the portion size, we would rather have "good" food vs large portions. Atmosphere reminded me of my grandmothers house, not quaint and smelled like Grandpa had been smoking his pipe there for 50 years. Don't waste your time or $$.

This is a steak place!!?? I understand that this is what they are SUPPOSED to do well. So, my wife & I ordered STEAK (their BEST NY Sirloin). What we received was the possibly most flavorless excuse for a steak that I have ever eaten. It was definitely the worst steak that ran $35 I've ever had. The potatoes were OK. I will avoid going too much into the weird pickled watermelon/jello/goo or the salad as this is a "steak place". On the positive side, we attended on a Thursday & were able to get right in (guess that should have been a red flag) the wait staff was attentive. Overall, very disappointed with the food. We did like the Northwoods feel & appreciated the wait staff.

OK everyone, here is the deal.. This is a steak place. It is not supposed to be anything else. They only offer steak because that is what they do best. Go there expecting steak, great steak, the best steak anywhere. Not for shrimp or chicken! The potatoes are pretty darn good too. Also expect the atmosphere to be casual, and like a north woods supper club. It is worth the wait but we never had to wait more than 15 minutes. It is so worth the drive. The flavor is phenomenal and oh so tender. And they actually cook the steak the way it should be cooked. You will be stuffed when you leave, the steaks are huge!!! They have all you can eat bread and potatoes too. Go, have a drink or two, relax and enjoy!!

Cons: None that I can possibly think of.

The reviews above which rip Lindey's for being overpriced and informal obviously thought they were going to a Murray's-esque establishment.
Look, if you're going to Lindey's, you're going to experience a fun, loud atmosphere and have a great-tasting, hearty meal. The wait staff hasn't turned over since the Nixon administration, and it doesn't appear there has been remodeling since then either. In my opinion, this adds to Lindey's character in a good way.
Great place to bring a group and have a fun time.

The outside looks like a Dairy Queen. The inside is Grandpa's house circa 1972. Despite perhaps 6 filled tables in the entire restaurant, we had a leisurely wait to get greeted and receive our beverages.
We mentioned we'd never been there before to our server, hoping for some guidance. She dragged over the 3-item menu sign and disappeared.

The accoutrements: stingy portions of the cheapest ingredients. Iceberg salad? Hot dog bun garlic bread? What the hell was that dressing?! Buttermilk and BBQ sauce?! I'm sure the 2 pieces of watermelon rind are a huge crowd-pleaser. The main dishes were tender but nearly flavorless.

The best part was when we asked for our leftovers to go. The waitress stuck her hand in a bag she pulled from her apron and grabbed the meat and potatoes like she was picking up dog poop. Classy to the end.

My husband and I, and our parents, have been going to Lindey's for as long as we can remember. It's still our favorite restaurant. I've been to my share of trendy, high priced restaurants that are generally overrated and pretentious. I've never had a better steak than Lindey's - my husband says that one place in Chicago MAY be as good. At Lindey's you can dress up or wear jeans, no one cares. The decor, while outdated, adds to the charm of the place. It looks like a eartery or saloon you might find in Northern Minnesota or NW Wisconsin. If you don't like steak or if you're looking for trendy with pretty napkins and decor, then Lindey's isn't for you. If you're looking for awesome steak and an extremely laid back, casual, atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, visit Lindey's. And, I agree, their house wines are very good!

We traveled from NEPA and had read this was one of the best places to have a steak dinner. I am not a beef eater but I expected to be able to choose from a complete menu pf beef selections. To my surpirse I had to dine on a plate of so-so mushrooms and a small salad. Establishment was empty, service was slow and I couldn't believe that the staff couldn't make the salad larger for someone who didn't have anything else. Prices were too expensive for my taste. Our son who lives in MN did like the watermelon rind. This won't be one of the must do again places to go to when we visit MN again!

Like all restaurants, it's not for everybody, as you can see from some reviews. But for my money, this is the best steakhouse in town. I can't disagree with reviewers that complain about limited menu choices and uninspiring salad, but if you're looking for the most tender piece of steak you'll ever eat head to Arden Hills.

If you demand multiple menu options go head somewhere else. But if you can appreciate the quirky nature of an old-style restaurant that has based its reputation on one steak for many years you have to try Lindey's!

I have been going there for years and though tried many others I still find this unique taste and setting is most comforting. The delicate sauce on the steak and the tangy dressing and greaseless hashbrowns and the garlic bread is so good to. I think you either like it or you don't and if you do the price might be alittle high but worth it if you like it.

Three over priced selections!!
and who wants to order chopped sirloin for $15.65?
so you go for the top choice at $26.00 thinking hey,
the ambiance is certainly nothing to talk about so the food must be pretty fantastic, right? and then,
you start w/ iceberg salad w/ 1 tomato and watery dressing in a brown plastic bowl!!
some stale hot dog buns made into garlic toast, and then here comes the steak, made to order but dull and certainly not worth $26.00!!(& since I wanted mine medium well I got stuck with the end pieces). Garlic mash potatoes were served to pass around, who ordered family style???
It was my husbands b-day & the place was chosen by him...boy was he bummed!!
The best thing about the place were the drinks,
my cosmopolitan was tasty and only $5
Service was okay...really could've been better since not very busy.

If you're serious about your steak, go to Lindey's. Compared to other rip-off joints in town with their expensive ambiance, waiters who drive Porches, and prices into the hundreds of dollars, this is a no-brainer. Get comfortable in your blue jeans, order Lindey's Special Prime Sirloin with a good red wine, and you'll go home happier than you would anywhere else in town.

Many of the previous reviews have been quite biased in opinion. Yes, its expensive. The amount of food you get far exceeds payment...its all you can eat potatoes, and garlic toast!
I've never seen such a large cut of beef in my life. You start with great salad with home made dressing. Dinner is superb, served in a buttery, yet sweet super heated sauce. Wash that down with ANY beverage of choice, very great bartenders. Very friendly staff, great for large groups, I highly recomend this dinning experience!
If thats not enough, Al Capone used to hang out there.

A superb example of the northwoods supper club. Excellent custom cut of beef prepared correctly to order. Where in the Cities can you get a true rare steak time after time? Lindey's is it. In its location since Snelling was a dirt road, Lindey's offers log walls, wood ceilings, and giant steaks brought to the table on wheeled trolleys. Pleasant, experienced staff enhances the dining experience. The quality of the meat, aged on the premises, exceeds that of any steakhouse in the Cities.

I was surprised by this restaurant's rating which has an old musty smell inside, a lack of updated decor, and an extremely limited menu. The steaks have an oily aftertaste, of which the unpleasant odor permeates throughout the dining room. Beginning with an unimaginative chunk of iceberg lettuce drenched in bottled dressing, to a greasy, flavorless steak at an unreasonably high price, even though I live across the street, I would prefer to drive as many miles as necessary to find a much better quality steakhouse.

I had been going to Lindy's since 1974. I have not found a better steakhouse in the country. I am retired now and do not get to the St. Paul area anymore, but I recommend this restaurant to anyone I know that wil be going to Minnesota. There is another Lindy's in Montana which I have not had the pleasure of trying. I do hope it is as good as the one in St. Paul. I plan on trying it one of these year.

Thanks so much for allowing me to make this comment.

The steaks are mediocre at best. You get two choice of steak or hamburger.
There is a total lack of selection. Rusty lettuce with their "house" dressing, greasy garlic bread, ho-hum hash browns and a couple slimy watermelon pickles are what you get, like it or not.
I can think of a dozen places where the steak is better and less expensive. You get to choose your sides too.

When we first moved into the area 20 years ago, Lindseys was recommended to us. The experience was marginal. Recently we gave Lindeys another try, thinking that maybe the first experience was an off night in the kitchen. After 20 years we experienced the identical quality of beef and sides. If you want a very limited selection of sub par quality beef , with rusty iceberg lettuce as a salad this is the place for you. For the same amount of money you can purchase a much higher quality cut of meat at The Outback or Timberlodge, without the gristle, with fresh salads and sides.

The steak reminded me of the roast beef my grandma served every Sunday afternoon. I think they forgot something in the preparation....Flavor!

Lindey's Prime Steak House while pretty Spartan, serves up some of the best meat and potatoes I have ever tasted. Granted, it is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I live in Michigan and always look forward to a meal at Lindey's when visiting.

Pros: greaseless hash brown

Cons: needs to expand

.

Sirloin is the only thing on the Menu. I will take a T-Bone, New York Strip, Ribeye, or Prime Rib anyday over the lower cut Sirloin Steak. Timberlodge beats Lindeys hand down.
Overpriced for Sirloin

I only went to Lindey's once with a group of friends, but it was soo good! The meat was done to perfection!
The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent as well!

Lindey's second steakhouse in the Twin Cities is by Medicine Lake. The food is the same, the ambience not quite as down home, but no waits. Have loved Lindey's since 1973. I know one guy from Florida who travels about once per month to the Twin Cities and stops at Lindeys each time.

This place is a classic, Simple menu and by far the best steak I have ever had. Compared to others around town this place is a bargain! Loved the Holiday atmosphere at their new location in Medicine Lake.
