Wander as far away from here as possible. Against my better judgemnt I returned here after a bad experience. I ordered take out [there were only two occupied tables in the place] and was told that they would NOT honor their coupon. Do

I have been going here for years and the quality of their food has always been the best. Their flavor is right on and has never been off. Their buffet isn't expensive and is a true value and the service can't be beat!

Delicious FOOD! Excellent quality at the typical chinese buffet price. Excellent (not bland) fried rice, magnificent pot stickers, and heavenly sesame chicken! The only cons I have is that the only "dessert" they have is the regular sugar donuts. (which are still good. lol), and I was looking for some fresh fruit, like cantelope and the only thing I found was gooky pinneapple. Otherwise everything was excellent! Nice atmosphere, nice staff, and a bar also! My boyfriend and I will DEFINITELY be back.

I have been eating at this restaurant for the better part of this decade, and it's the only Chinese restaurant in the Twin Cities that I keep going back to over and over. The food has never been anything less than great, the service is always top notch, the management is always personable and friendly...

Unfortunately while the number of Chinese restaurants in the W 'burbs has gone up, the quality of the food is not greater for the competition, especially at those smaller takeout places - "Greasy Chopstick" Joints...

Even in comparison with some of the more well-known names in town ie: David Fong's (should be ashamed to serve the food they do IMO) and Mandarin Kitchen (adequate but not inspired)... I'd rather spend the money at restaurants that still care about quality and service and are not just coasting.

Oh, and did I mention they have a superb Hot and Sour Soup?

the last review is totlally bogas, The have the the largest restroom sign I"ve ever seen in my life ask the last reviewer what the color the sign is. A lady that works at the local ymca swears by the bubble tea. and recommends it to everyone.. I cant understand why someone would try destroy a restaurant that caters to eldery people who play cards or mahjong in the back area and to the young kids that inhabit the restaurant.
The food is great, and I've eaten in alot of restarants, and The food has flavor unlike many buffet restaurants.

Pros: Cater the ederly as well as the young, sesame chicken, great buffet, very tastful

Cons: No one knows about this tiny chinese restaurant,it sa spin off from Nankin opened in 1997

THE WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT I'VE BEEN TO. I'm a person who ADORES Chinese authentic food. I've recently gone there with my husband and mother in-law; we tried the buffet and it was OK. Sure; it's great like the sesame chicken and the lo mein but the thing i hate the most is that the bathroom was no where to be found! As well as when i asked one of the waitresses there, they just pointed to a direction and walked away! I can't believe the service and the WORST part is that the BUBBLE TEA is HORRIBLE AND NOT EVEN BUBBLE TEA! They recommended that it was a crowd favorite so we all tried three different flavors and I stopped drinking it after the second sip. It wasn't even bubble tea; i was disappointed that they would even call it bubble tea.

After this experience, I don't think i'll travel back over to this restaurant.

1/5 stars.

Pros: Good chinese buffet

Cons: Bubble Tea, bathroom, lack of good service.

The restaurant is clean and attractive. The staff is friendly. The sesame chicken is very tasty (no fat!) The buffet is extremely delicious! There is so much to choose from. The flavor of the food keeps me coming back. Not only is the price right, there are always coupons on line.

We had dinner at wanderers garden we had the buffet (but they also have a dinner menu) it was so delicious and tasty, the sesame chicken was incredible, probably the best i ever had. The buffet was full of fresh and tasty selections, i had to go to the buffet table a couple times because it was too good. The waitress also recommended this new drink called bubble tea, we ordered one and it was good, but different it wasn't like a typical drink, but its something to try. The pricing for the restaurant was reasonable, it is well worth it. At Wanderers we just found out that it was opened for about 12 years, i can't believe i missed out on this, i will definately visit again!

Pros: Great Food
Cons: The restaurant is in a strip mall so it was hard to find.

This was a clean cozy restaurant that had tremendous food. The fried rice was not like your typical buffet style rice. The shrimp was quality and they even had food kids would eat. What most impressed me was the real authentic Chinese egg rolls. They also did not saturate their buffet with items like jello and old fruit. The cost is a little steep ($11.00) but it's well worth it. The only downfall is there is no dessert.

PROS: Quality of fried rice, Kid friendly and clean
CONS: Price, Dessert

A distinctive looking building on the end of a strip mall, you can't miss the bright neon 80's colors and the round windows. As such it has very close proximity to lots of shopping so a decent place to stop. Their buffet has a lot of variety, nothing too distinctive. Fairly expensive, but they put out coupons occasionally in local coupon brochures. Not as good as other Chinese restaurants in the area, but OK as far as the buffet goes.

I have yet to come across a Chinese restaurant that can even begin to compare with Wanderers Garden, and believe me, I've tried. My favorite part of the restaurant is their well stocked buffet that runs twice a day at lunch and dinner. It is reasonably priced, and has been known to have up to three different shrimp choices for the evening crowd. Regardless of how busy they get (and believe me, they pack them in every night), their servers are always courteous, friendly, and efficient. My family visits there often and they remember me and especially our son - they knew us for several years before he was born. Awesome food and professional and friendly service keeps us going back time and time again.
