Fun store!

by Sarah Q. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,096

This store has so many things you could use for around your house. It's great for crafty people, it has everything you could ever possibly need. The prices are very reasonable. The store is VERY clean and it's usually easy to find what you want, but if you can't, salespeople are quick to help you.

Hobby & Craft Supplies and more

by Cherish G.

Hobby Lobby has everything you need to turn your house into a beautiful home. Whether you're looking for fabric to make curtains and pillows, or artificial plants to bring the outdoors in, or garden decorations to add some magic to your garden, or craft supplies for whatever you're interested in, or art for the walls - the store really has it all. There is a huge section of yarn, for the knitters and crocheters out there. Picture frames galore, mirrors, framed art, decorative sconces, you'll find it all here. Wicker and wood furniture, chairs and stools, small tables - they've got it. They have a custom framing department with such a giant selection of frames and matting options. Hobby Lobby has a large selection of wedding supplies and instructional books & brochures to help you along. They have plenty of needlepoint patterns and supplies, along with a great fabric selection. They have plenty of scrapbooking and rubber stamp supplies. And you can even take classes and make even more projects to add to your home or give as gifts. Their general staff is not necessarily the most knowledgeable. There are a few that can help you, but for the most part they're just part-time employees just trying to get the job done, not necessarily experts in the areas they're working in. If you know what you're doing and don't need much help, then this is the place for you.

PROS: Giant selection, great prices, unique ideas
CONS: Closed on Sundays, staff not especially knowledgeable
