Don't believe a New Zealander! I found this shop by accident. Now my wife and I drive 20 miles every weekend to enjoy the great coffee and atmosphere with friends and family! Outstanding!

Pros: great coffee and service

.

I went in thinking, let me give this place a chance, and the experience was not what I hoped. The girl at the cashier was rude in telling me about how she charged me a surcharge for me using my card, when she rung it up as credit card, instead of a debit. I am from New Zealand, and got confused with her explanation. It was only till later that I figured that I got ripped off! The Hot chocolate tasted like water and the cup was too tiny for a small. Nothings going to budge me from the service and value at Starbucks for sure!

Pros: none

Cons: all

Espresso Expose is nestled on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota - next to Big Ten's on Washington Avenue. They have a big space, free wireless, cheap coffee, and some of the best bakery items. They have a chocolate crossant that is perfect with a bitter cup of coffee. I frequented this place during my undergraduate carreer from 1996-98 - and I still love going there a decade later. Very friendly staff, and the cool "anthil"l vibe of a Univeristy coffeeshop. Clean place with great people watching, and extra foamy lattes.

Pros: Coffee, Food, Service

Cons: Parking can be a pain during busy school days at the U of MN

This coffee chop is on the UofM campus and is one that I visited nearly everyday of my undergraduate career. Their prices are better then their surrounding competition (Starbucks, Expresso Royale) and they make good sandwiches and soups. If you return too many times the employees get to know your face and start preparing your order before you even ask!
