Threatened with yet another price increase, decided to join the neighborhood who had dumpped Advanced Deposal (Veolia Environmental) Service for their competitor getting a trash pickup reduction of 40% (not a promo price). Coordinated the service switch with the two service providers. Had set up auto-bill-pay with Advanced Disposal for the monthly billing. Discovered they fraudulently tapped my checking account even though service was ended the prior month. Advanced Disposal charges for services "to be rendered" like one would pay for rent. Called and told they would correct it; three weeks and there was no refund. Called and told they would correct it but not full refund; I said expect in full and gave them a week. A week later, received an email notice my checking account was going to be tapped now for a second month of service after termination of services. Called again and told they would correct it at full refund back into my account in a couple of weeks; I demanded it be done now since I am tired of all their delays and fraudulant billing practices. I also informed them I would start filing reports of my experience on the web as well as with local enforcement authorities. Have been finding a lot of reports of their financial abuse of both customers and their workforce even though they are active in many states in America. Clearly, this firm is going down the drain in quality and perhaps the ability to remain in the red even though charging its clients 40-60% more than competitors.

I have a signed two year contract that guarantees my rates for one year and that the rates will not go up more than $2 per month per year. They raised the rates after the first year AND tacked on and additional 6.55 per quarter "Fuel/environmental Fee". When called on it, they said the rates didn't go up, they just started charging the fee and fee was waived for the first year. Neither the sales person or the contract says anything about this fee. Seriously, if you don't disclose that information at the time of contract signing, how can you implement it later? After a half hour plus of arguing with two different people, they agreed to waive the fee for the balance of the contract. I sincerely hope they do. If they don't I will post again. A very poor way of doing business. In all fairness, the service has been adequate otherwise.

I am surprised at all the negative reviews, because my experience has been nothing but excellent. Several years ago (2 or 3), we switched service providers from Waste Management to Veolia for our entire condo association. Each resident has their own trash can. Veolia completed the switch, and provided all new containers - and saved us about 30% on our trash removal cost! We have a weekly service, and they have never missed a pick-up. When we have special needs (like a bulk pickup or container replacement), they always take care of the request. While I have not called the central offices, I have talked to folks at the local office, and on those few occasions, they are always polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend their services.

But they changed their policy and there was nothing in writing. So we decided to change providers and Veolia kept piling on fee after fee after fee. This is the WORST garbage company ever! Most times they only empty half the garbage can, one time they didn't empty it at all, one time they took the can and last incident was a totally broken lid..stuffed back into my garbage can. The city I live in contracts with this particular garbage company so I have NO choice in the matter...everytime there is a new incident with the garbage people I just call the city!

This is the absolute worst residential garbage service. It took forever to get the cans and recycle bins. Then the recycle guy may or may not stop to pick up the recycling. They charge you a mandatory fee about 35.00 to recyle whether you recycle or not. They over charge for the basic service and add lots of hidden fees. I had to give a 10 business day notice to end my service (even though I was moving) then on top of that they sent me a 45.00 bill for picking up their own garbage cans! Now I know why I was the only one in the neighborhood using their company.

As of today it is ONE day before service is due to start (1st pick up day) and we have NO BINS. We needed them a WEEK ago. I called customer service to complain and she actually asked me what I wanted her to do about it? Said they had gotten many complaints that were the fault of the sales dept notifying them late about new customers and they are still trying to deliver the bins, but in any case it wasn't the customer service dept.'s fault. As if I care WHOSE fault it is? Usually when a company makes a big mistake they offer monetary compensation or at least a coupon, this is not rocket science. So, if the bin comes tomorrow, I get to move all the garbage from our old bin into the new bin. If it doesn't come she said they would pick up the individual bags. Either way, pulling the bags out of the old bin is going to be real fun. What a dismal company so far and service hasn't even started.

Horrible customer service! I was a loyal customer for 16 years and when they began billing from Illinios the service quality suffered. Multiple bills were sent throughout the billing period for extra bags and high fees were charged if extra services were not paid within 2 weeks. When they say 10-14 days for mail delivery, this company means it. They cashed my check the same day they charged me $23.XX for being 2 weeks late. Customer loyalty and history mean nothing to this company.

By the way great service, they don't charge for "certain things" at their dump site because they sell the scap metal. Of course they'll take it for free when scrap sites pay for it.

this is a dump sight that does not charge for you to get rid of certain things. It is well organized. They are centrally located in the metro. I find it to be a great service when you don't want to leave stinky garbage in your garage until pick up day. I am there a lot in the summer. The employees are very helpful as well

If you have the large task of cleaning out a basement or garage these folks should be at the top of your call list. It make the job so much easier to finish if you don't have to worry about going to a dump or how you are going to get rid of all that stuff. On time delivery and compeitive rates.
