Both of the previous posters are correct. Especially the comment about being "A Legend in Her Own Mind". Barbara Gislason is definitely a narcissist, and is very frustrating and costly. She offers a "free" initial half-hour

Agree with previous comment completely! frustrating, exhausting and excessively costly. I am ashamed of myself for being so gullible.

When first meeting Barbara, she seems like a personable, good-willed person with a compassionate ear and strong knowledge. Beware. She will talk your ear off and not let you get a word in edge wise and charge you for it. She may even insult you and coherse you to stay if your lucky and charge you more.

I was there for some information concerning a family law case. I called before going in and was assured she could help me. Almost two hours in and out of that office, I was $300 poorer and distressed. There was no legal "counseltation". It was a one-women monologue with attemps at entertaining me and almost always "not understanding" and somehow changing every statement around to mean something completely different. It was frustrating and exhausting and costly.

After some investigation, I see that Barbara is making an attempt at being a literary agent and "entertainment lawyer". Barbara does have a sincere interest in animal rights and is probably a great advocate considering she will not let any human being get a word in edge-wise, it's great that she can be a voice for animals.

If you are looking for a family law rep, going in with questions you want answered (do some research first) and a stopwatch set at 1/2 hour - because she will keep going, and going and going and going - (does she use Ever Ready)?

I would have to tell you that if you are looking for a Family Law Attorney, USE A FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY. Ask around and get a referral first. Beware of the Yellow Pages.
