Bought a replacement fireplace and mantel from FORSHAW of St. Louis. Hearth cracked.....I had to pay a certified inspector to determine the cause. Forshaw wanted to charge me additional monies to replace. Inspector concluded hearth was

Please check google.maps review written by jermscentral. I have the same problem. I try to use the $50 for $200 Groupon gift card to buy some stuff from Forshaw. They cannot accept it for ""accessories"". They told me I have to buy accessories over $400, which mean, I have to spend $200 more to purchase something. The sales agent told me that I should call Groupon to return the gift card. It's also ridiculous. Who pays us the driving gas and the shopping time in your store?

Furthermore, the sales agent told us that furniture is qualified for the gift card. Then we found an end table. He went back to check if they had new one available. But after he came back, he told me that the manager said it could not be sold, because it's ""accessory table"". Are you kidding me? ""Accessory table""??? What you mainly sale are Grill, table & chair, then you named table ""accessory""? Is it hilarious? I don't blame the sales. This is the store's problem. If you store can play with Groupon, if you can do advertisement, you should show your goodwill. They just want you spend $200 more money after the $200 gift card, then they can still earn money from the $200 you really spend. You can just show the gift card like ""$200 of $400"", then we didn't buy it. Don't show the $200 gift card. It's cheating for customers. Additionally, based on the fact, I can easily be sure their profit margin is at least 50%. If you go to this store, please prepare your money & your credit card. Have fine.

What is more, another wonderful thing I find is that I cannot rate them from google. They probably hire somebody to block the rating work in google. I know some tech can do it. I can understand that because there should be some bad ratings for their terrible work for the gift card & service.

Finally, I want to say. If you want to do advertisement through Groupon, just try to fulfill it to keep your goodwill, or you will have a bad reputation, no matter how hard you fix it.

Very nice store with experienced sales staff. I had a problem with a barbeque that I bought, and they were very friendly and helpful in taking care of it. I'll be back!!

I went to this store after researching the Big Green Egg and was ready to buy one. The salesperson knew a lot about the Big Green Egg, and also showed me the Kamado Joe. He walked me through the differences of the two and I ended up going with a Kamado Joe instead, it's a little less $ and has a better seal. I'm really happy with my KJ...I loved cooking the Thanksgiving turkey on it. I would recommend the Kamado Joe to anyone who's thinking about a Big Green Egg smoker.

I shopped at Arnold and then at Forshaws. The people at Arnold were very high pressure, but not at Forshaws. Also the fireplace I wanted was shown at the store and it was $400 cheaper. I'll be having my fireplace installed by Forshaws soon, can't wait to use it!

I purchased gas logs from Forshaw. The sales woman, Mallory, was very helpful in walking me through the different styles of fireplaces. It was expensive ($680 with the install) but all in all well worth it. I use my fireplace all winter long.

I purchased gas logs as a birthday gift for my husband. We had discussed converting one of the fireplaces to gas for years, and it was time. They have nice products, but do not expect kind or knowledgeable assistance on the weekends, some sales people are rather short. A young man possibly a store owner did offer clarification and assistance to my requests upon a return trip. Installation not in time for my husbands birthday. Thank goodness for a product brochure and a fancy envelope! Installation was actually delayed again past the original date. But I find it hard to complain as I write this sitting by the fire!

I visit them annually to see what the latest trends and fashion are. They have one of the biggest displays and inventory of outdoor furniture in st. louis. They also deliver. The staff is professional, but not overly friendly.

PROS: great selection of outdoor furniture and accessories
CONS: unfriendly staff, some sets are very expensive

This store has a lot to offer. They have a lot of fireplace covers which is good for a new home. I think the BBQ pits are a bit overpriced but they have a lot of really good sales. The staff is very helpful and they offer a lot of suggestions. The biggest part of the store is the hardware and back yard.
