I was given a gift card to Olive Garden and was pleased with their prices, food, and service. The setting is attractive and the server didn't act rushed

I would reccommend The Olive Garden to anyone. It is well priced, salad comes with entree', great bread, well spaced out. I love the place and visit often.

The positive reviews here are obviously from people who never venture more than 5 minutes from their homes. There are some amazing local Italian restaurants in St. Louis, but it's a shame how many people only go to the chains. Guess that's why Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill are always packed. It's a shame for them.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: , Mediocre Service

THE OLIVE GARDEN? As a pick for ROMANTIC dinner? Did they pay you a bribe to add them? Fine place to go for a mediocre meal, but for a ROMANTIC DINNER? no way!

you've got to be kidding me . . . how did olive garden get such a high rating in a city that has an outstanding selection of italian food . . .head over to the hill for a much better meal at an equal price

You have got to be kidding. Maybe in Houston the Italian food here would look good. But with the plethora of authentically Italian restaurants in STL, how could anyone rate this mediocre chain as the best STL has to offer. Did they never hear of garlic? The food is bland. Okay, the salad is good, but it certainly should not define the quality of the restaurant. I guess whoever rated this as a top must think Fazoli's is fine dining.

Pros: salad refills, bread sticks

Cons: no Italians in kitche, bland food

They give you tons of food here. You get great buttered breadsticks sprinkled with parmasean.\n\nThen you get a salad or a soup with your meal. The Zupa Toscana is great - a hearty spicy sausage soup.\n\nThe steak is seasoned and very tender, the mixed grill is another good dish, and you can't go wrong with the fettucine alfredo.\n\nGreat Italian music and lots of nice paintings and pillars everywhere. Some nights there is also free wine sampling.

There are Olive Gardens all over the U.S. and their food is alright. I've eaten there on many occasions but their food is nothing comapared to most of the restaurants located on the historic Hill where Italian restaurants cannot be beaten.\n

If you are going to go to a chain restaurant for Italian food, Rich and Charlie's or Pasta House would be much better choices for a more authentic Italian meal.

unbelievable... a city like st. louis with a rich italian heritage and The Hill would vote for the Olive Garden! That's like voting McDonald's best hamburger. This is appalling. \nMaybe people who vote for the Olive Garden as best Italian should venture out of your new suburban cookie cutter neighborhoods and come to the city. Jeez! Makes me sick that you call yourselves St. Louisans!!!

New York has Little Italy and we have the Hill. I prefer almost any place on The Hill to the Olive Garden. You can get an Olive Garden anywhere and I don't think it's the best Italian food around.

An average looking chain restaurant that serves halfway decent food does not deserve a 9 or 10 people. With all the gems of Italian restaurants in St. louis, Olive Garden doesn't come close. It's nothing but a cultureless suburbanite's excuse for good Italian.

The Olive Garden has one of the most wonderful alfredo sauces I have ever tasted, and their salad is very good too.
