Its not a fancy restaurant. Its a reminder of times and food that isnt around much anymore. Quality beef hot dogs and brats. Simple comfort good. Small drive up place like when you were a kid back in the 60s. More old style family places

This is by far the best dog in town! I highly recommend the one that says it all, the "Woofie" dog, for your first taste of a Chicago style dog. The Big Herm is also another favorite of mine.

The original Woofie is a quizzical mix consisting of a poppy seed bun, Vienna Beef dog, yellow mustard, onion, green relish (I mean really green), a single tomato wedge, dill pickle spear, a sport pepper (zingy), and a dash of celery salt. Ketchup is always optional, but I don't recommend it.

The atmosphere is always friendly and the menu offers many selections for a few bucks each. The stand has a unique quality to it with a counter around the walls to eat from while standing or sitting on stools. I don't know of any place like it.

I drive 30 miles one way for these awesome treats and they are just as good, if not better, cold the next day if you are wise enough to buy extra to take home (get the condiments on the side so the buns do not get soggy). Rule of thumb, order 3 more than you think you'll want. There pretty addictive. I write this as I eat my last cold Woofie dog right from the fridge.

Great dogs fast and friendly service. If you love corn dogs don't pass this one up. This is a place your friends and family will continue to patronize for years to come.

Pros: all beef dogs, fries

These are pretty much the top dogs in all of St. Louis---and you don't have to take our word for it: Vienna Beef put this little stand in its hall of fame for good reason. A few outside tables, a drive-through with no speakerphone and…
