Although we live about 25-30 minutes from this church, we have been attending mass there about once per month (on average) since a new pastor, Fr. Tillmann, was assigned there. It is a BEAUTIFUL church. I believe it has the 2nd most mosaic tiles of any church in St. Louis.
There are several new priests who probably are making a tremendous difference. The first time we attended mass here (fall '06) there were perhaps 15-20 people. Each time we go, it seems that the attendance is growing. If you are a "reformed catholic" or "recovering catholic", I highly recommend this church. The priests, particularly Fr. Tillmann, are very warm and welcoming and completely non-judgmental. They seem to be true CHRISTIANS and are more Christ-like (at least what I imagine and know Christ to be) than any priests I have known.
Try it for a few weeks. I believe you will get a lot out of attending this church!!

My friend just got married at this church a month ago. She is not Catholic, but her fiancee was and they fell in love with the look of this church. By the end of the experience, she was very upset and discouraged to join the Catholic faith. The priest did not explain the mass very well, and made her feel like an outsider. He kept threatening that the bishop may not approve of them getting married because she was not Catholic! No one needs that when they are trying to celebrate their wedding. I was singing at the wedding and had a terrible time trying to communicate with the parish musician. I think it is a beautiful church, but the staff could have made this experience much better.
PROS: gorgeous church
CONS: bad place to get married
