Clarice's Bridal Fashions

First off...if you go to Clarice's make sure you ask for Katie She is AMAZING! She was really awesome at helping me pick out the perfect dress...i would recommend going there to anyone...just make an apt. first and there will be no problems!

The entire bridal party was extremely excited to go shop at Clarice's, being that we had seen their shop named in a few of the larger bridal magazines. Upon arrival, we were all a little skeptical, being that the shop is a bit dated and small. After walking in the front door, we were given forms to fill out and we were sized, which was fine if you can get pass that attitudes of 95% of the staff. After we waited around for a while, they gave us the dress our bride had picked out for us, which they only had in one size, a 10 (we vary from a 2-12). We just figured we'd have them sent for alterations if they fit poorly. They told us to order up sizes, because the dresses could be taken in but not let out.
Upon receiving our dresses, the measurements were SO wrong. Beyond wrong really. They were all huge, and for some asinine reason the staff thought it necessary to add length to our orders without permission. I am 5'4", I do not need extra length. Because of this, we all spent hundreds on alterations (in addition to the nearly $300 dress). The dresses still didn't look like they should have, and overall we as a whole were fairly dissatisfied. When we explained this to them, they acted flippant and dismissive.
I don't recommend this shop. Beyond their selection they aren't worth the hassle.

I would highly recommend clarices! Katie does an awesome job. They made me feel like a princess and made sure to find the perfect dress for me. I ended up buying a dress she suggested. Didn't think I would like it but feel in love with it! I came from Springfield mo and was very impresses with the prices and customer service and my dress came in 2 1/2 weeks early. And not to mention when I first went there I didn't have an appointment and they got me right In. They are awesome!

Katie was great to work with and the rest of the staff was fun to work with as well. They were very complementative and made me feel beautiful in the gown. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding dress for a great price! :)

Clarice's is the only place I would order my gown from. The customer service was amazing. Katie was excellent. I think the negative reviews are from people that didn't have an appointment. The place is busy, so if you don't wanna be disappointed, make an appointment, esp on a Saturday. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I've been to many other shops and experienced truly rude service!!!!

I am the maid of honor in my sister's wedding in indy, Clarice's was only choose because they had the dress my sister wanted. When all of the Bride's Maids went in to look at dresses we were left alone to go at it alone with no help from the staff. They were rude and ignored us. It was almost as we (who are Africian-American were not wanted in the store. Then when I wen to pick up my dress I was treated rudely after I had given them 1/2 of the money before the dress was ordered and was coming to give them more money when I picked it up. I called several days later and spoke to Sue the manager and when I tried to voice my complaints she was rude and kept cutting me off and defending instead of apologizing for the rude behavior of her employee. She should not manage or own any store, let alone a bridal store. I hope she does not own the place. The store is raggedy and old and my dress From the other complaints listed I hope you ladies follow the warnings. DO NOT GO THERE!!

They were fine to begin with, showed me a bunch of gowns and had good prices. but when some of the stiching was coming off my gown and I hadn't worn it they made me feel so bad about myself and were awful to me. I would have paid much more at a different store to be treated with some respect. DO NOT GO HERE!

PROS: prices (but severly outweighed by the cons)
CONS: owner, customer service.

My friend bought her bridal gown here along with all her bridesmaid dresses and didn't have any problems at all with any of it.

The staff was always helpful when I was there with her and very polite. I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for bridal gowns or for wedding party attire.

They are located in South City on Hampton so the location is great and convenient for many people.

Definitely check them out while you are shopping. My friend's dress and wedding party dresses were gorgeous!

We stopped by while out looking for wedding dresses and oh my god they were rude. The person who was there said we're not showing you any bridal gowns without an appointment and we can't get you in today. I had already picked out my bridesmaid dresses from there I was so disappointed in their customer service I called the place I eventually found my dress at and they gave me a better price than Clarice's by $20 a dress and special ordered the dresses that they didn't normally carry. So I definitely shop around before going there.
