I used to like Imo's pizza, but they have gone way down in my opinion on my list of places to order pizza. They barely put any cheese on their pizzas anymore, and their pizzas are always cold when I get them. Serra's Pizza is the best as far as I'm concerned!

The only good time to eat Imo's pizza is when you are so drunk you won't remember how terrible it tasted the night before. The cheese is awful, the crust is even worse, and the sauce would be better suited to go on greasy school cafeteria food in the form of catsup. The pizza is also unpredictable. Sometimes the crust is so done it reminds you of cardboard. Other times it's so slinky, you can't even hold onto it. As a St. Louisan, I must say I am thoroughly ashamed to have Imo's pizza associated with all that is good in this town.

Imo's has become very generic! Nothing special about it, and they've cut back on amount of toppings.

Don't go to Imo's if you are looking for premium pizza. You are better off buying a Tombstone and eating it frozen. I had Imo's once and will never eat it again. Even if you like thin crust, the cheese is terrible and the crust is like a cracker.

I was raised on Imo's thin crust & still think it's some of the best pizza around, although I know there are a lot of my friends & coworkers who just can't handle the provel cheese which I feel is one reason it's so unique.

Tastes like cardboard and the crust has the texture of cardboard. I like some thin pizzas, but this is NOT good. Only people who have been in St. Louis thier whole lives and never have tried many other pizzas, or maybe just haven't tried other thin pizzas, like this place. But they do have good salads.

This has become a standard joke: how to tell a native St. Louisian from a transferee is by asking if they like Imo's. Only persons born in St. Louis or with no memeory of ever living elsewhere can eat pizza made with processed cheese, commonly known as Provel. Natives eat it by the truck loads. Non-natives can't finish one piece and then have to scrape their tongues and gargle with hard liquor to remove the taste. If you are new to town, AVOID Imo's at all cost.

I can't figure out what St. Louisians like about this place. It makes me wonder if the folks here are mentally disturbed. The crust is bad, the cheese is disgusting, and it even looks unappetizing. There is no value added either as it tends to cost more than average.

As a newcomer to St. Louis I eagerly awaited a trial of the famous Imo's Pizza. What a disappointment! I was willing to accept the thin crust, but the cheese appeared not to be real cheese but cheese sauce or "cheese food product." The sauce was loaded with sugar, the mushrooms were canned, the pepperoni thin enough to see through. The other ingredients were haphazardly distributed in clumps. Why the city would claim this as "St. Louis Style" pizza is beyond me. In addition, I was put on hold twice while phoning in my order, yet the place was nearly empty on a Friday evening. Is Imo's an inside joke at the expense of outsiders?

I was not originally from St. Louis and moved there not knowing what "St. Louis" style pizza is. Be advised that St. Louis style is much much different from pretty much any other pizza style you might know. The crust is like a cracker. The cheese on top of the pizza (provel) is an odd flavor and texture (sort of like elmer's glue). I was disgusted when I first had it because i was used to normal pizza. I still don't like it, but others that i know have become accustomed to it and have even grown to like it. But if you are not from St. Louis it's good information to know what you are in store for.

Everyone in St. Louis seems to love this cardboard-cut into squares pizza. I just don't get it. As I understand, the only Imo's that makes it like it was ORIGINALLY, is the Imo's in O'Fallon. THAT pizza was RAVED about on the Dave Glover show. As for the rest of the Imo's, St. Louisans, You can keep it!

I am a St. Louis native who moved to Texas and I am currently serving in the Army. Whenever I even think about visiting my family in St. Louis, I think about the Imo's pizza in the downtown area near Union Station. It is customary for my brother and me to eat at this resturant on my first night back home.

Imo's makes the worst pizza on the planet and I am certain only wins all these contests because they force their employees to all vote for the retch-creating culinary monstrosities they call St. Louis style pizza. However, their sandwiches are very nearly edible, if a bit over-priced.

Imo's is worse than store-bought frozen pizza.

The provolone cheese is what adds a sort-of Velveeta taste that sickens me at the very thought of it.

St. Louisians don't know what real pizza is, so I don't blame them for not knowing any better.
