Great service and a good price
by Aaron A.
The facility is small and dated but the vets and staff are top notch. They care about the pets and the owner. They listen to your concerns and provide as good of care for the animals as any large animal hospital.

I've been taking my pets to Lemay Animal Hospital for years and I am very happy with the care that they receive. I find the staff is very caring, friendly, and the prices are fair.

Wonderful Vets!
by Patricia H.
My family has been taking our pets to this establishment for as long as I can remember. I helped my mom wrangle our critters into the car for the trip to the vet's when I was a kid, so I've known my own critter's vets for my whole life. I wouldn't take my cats to be treated by someone I didn't trust, and these guys are caring, compassionate, genuine animal-lovers. As stated in some of the other reviews, these fellows aren't in the business for the money - their prices are very reasonable and give high-quality care.
I've also had the sad duty to take some of our furry children in to be put to sleep over the years, due to cancer and other advancing or advanced illnesses. These doctors have stayed with me when I needed them to and gave me space when I needed them to. Again, compassionate, caring doctors. You'd be hard-pressed to find better care for your pets, in this region.
Highly, highly recommended!

Caring Staff like family; none better!
by Kate S.
Lemay Animal Hospital has taken care of the pets of four generations of my family. Another reviewer has spoken badly of the area; however, these vets are in it for the animals, not for the money. It is a lower income area, but a clean and honest one. Many of the area residents make sure that their animals are taken care of before they take care of themselves; and the vets take that into consideration with their prices. They also care about their patients as well as their patients' people. I have had to have two pets euthanized due to aggressive cancers; and the doctors and staff have been empathetic and extremely caring.

Personalized service, dedicated doctors and staff
by Meredith H.
My family has used Lemay Animal Hospital for over 40 years. My grandparents took their pets there, my parents took our dogs there, and now, as an adult, I take mine there. All three doctors are WONDERFUL, and the staff is superb. For your basic check-ups, shots, and minor problems (stitches, upset tummies, etc), it's top-notch. Their prices are low(er), compared to larger vets. This is not a place to buy high-end dog food, toys, or other pet products - nor is it a full-service animal hospital with round-the-clock care. The building is old, yes - but it's not falling down around you! I would rather pay less and know that I'm actually paying for vet care instead of designer decorating and satellite TV in the waiting room. Yes, the hours are a little wonky, but it's also easy to get a same-day or next-day appointment, and you don't have to hock your jewelry to treat your pet. You're also seen on time or even early if you're there. The neighborhood, just at the city/county line, is fine. I have never felt worried or concerned about being there any time of day/evening. It's convenient for city-dwellers (like me) and South County dwellers (like my grandparents). If you're looking for a small-town feel with an exceptional, caring staff, look no further than Lemay Animal Hospital.

Good and Caring Vet

Lemay Animal Hospital has a very professional and caring staff and the vets are top notch. They have provided excellent care for my two dogs for years and are always responsive and helpful. Highly recommended for great pet care and they are very reasonably priced.

I took my cat their for spaying and shots and while they are reasonable in their cost, the neighborhood and building are a little shady. They also have odd hours and are iffy about communication. I wouldn't have driven so far to save a few bucks if I could do it again.
PROS: Decent prices
CONS: Delapidated and quirky staff
