Based on my observation their lot traffic was minimal for the type of location. The should have gotten the station owner to pry open his wallet and run some specials too, in order to drive traffic as well. What convenience store doenst run beer/soda/or cigarette specials, especially considering the manufacturers absorb the cost!

The BBQ is gone too.....

I REALLY miss Hobbes chicken....and the sauce.

**UPDATE** Unfortunately Hobbes Chicken Fingers has closed and is no longer in business. My opinion being that when someone goes into a business under-capitalized it will probably mean a short life. Throw in a total reduction of advertising and any attempt to capitalize on the exisiting "lot" traffic, spells almost certain doom. A great product can only carry you so far if you do not constantly seek out new customers one way or another. Our present economy makes this even more of a priority to stay alive. Hopefully Hobbes Chicken Fingers will resurface somewhere soon, but it is a rumor that there will be a GREAT BBQ operation opening at this location very soon. Great BBQ'd chicken fingers?????? Maaaaaybe, but definately alot more !

went looking for these chicken fingers based on reviews. Glad I found them! Best chicken tenders I have EVER eaten. The folks there were great, and seem appreciative of their customers. Got a ton of food for the money. Be certain you get the house sauce, it was perfect with the chicken. Best sweet tea north of Mississippi!

They have moved to 2675 West Clay in St. Charles, to the Mobil station, just east of Pundmann Ford. The new location has a "real" drive thru, more inside seating, and TV. The chicken tenders (and the signature dipping sauce) are still fantastic!! Many new items as well - -try the cajun popcorn chicken!!!! Best sweet tea in the Midwest. The help is always fantastic - the poster who had a problem should have brought it to the attention of the restaurant staff, based on my experience she would have been taken care of. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for an order, and wouldn't mind wating 10 minutes of thats what it takes for this food. If you're in a hurry call ahead and pick it up!

I had been wanting to try this place for some time because of what I "heard. There must be another Hobbes Chickin on Spencer Road, because the chicken fingers I got certainly didn't match anything you folks describe. It's true, it took about 15 minutes on a Friday early evening ( waiting in the drive-through), even though there were no other cars in the drive through and no customers inside, none! The chicken fingers I got were hot and that's all I can say - there was barely any crumbs of seasoning on the chicken, soggy, and certainly not crispy - no taste, bland. It was so bad, I threw it out the window for the critters. And expensive $11 dollars wasted. From there I went to and went to Kentucky Fried.

Hobbes chicken is our favorite restaurant! They cook your food to order, so it's always hot and fresh. You do have to wait 5-10, so plan ahead, or be o.k. with the wait. Never have you waited for a meal so worth it as this food is! Their chicken tenders are amazing and their fries are really good too! Their staff is extremely friendly too. Tell all of your friends. We want HOBBS chicken to stick around forever!

Everyone I talk to about Hobbes raves about how great their chicken is. Hobbes has a very small dining area and many people simply order their food to-go. Hobbes sell chicken fingers - not burgers, not tacos - just chicken fingers and they do the best job around on them. The chicken fingers are made with real pieces of chicken, not the ground up, processed chicken and have a wonderfully flavored breading. The food I have gotten has always been cooked when I ordered it so it is good and fresh although it does require a few minutes wait. Once you try Hobbes you'll soon be back again.

Wow! This place is awesome! Chicken is great, Toast is great, Fries are great! Even their cole slaw is great! And I dont like cole slaw! They dont cook the chicken until you order it, so it takes a little time through the drive thru, but its definitely worth the wait!
