The internet sales person for Jay Wolfe in Kansas City quoted me a great price for a new 2011 Highlander. When I showed up at the dealer to finalize paperwork, the salesman/manager would not honor the price I had *in writing* on email from their own internet salesperson. They tried to charge $800 over the quoted price and would not budge.
These guys are incompetent at best, but more than likely are just plain dishonest. I will never use them again.

Most people hate buying a car, but I actually enjoyed the process. My salesman, Mark Mueller, came highly recommended by friends from church. Mark was nothing like what I thought a "car salesman" would be like. He was very nice, unassuming, and respectful to me He really listened to me. As a woman, buying a car can be an intimidating experience. With Mark, I never felt pressured or rushed. If you need a new or used car, I recommend that you speak with Mark Mueller. His number is 636-288-8910. I still have his business card that allows me to get a free shake from Steak-N-Shake! How cool is that!

My car was brought to you for diagnosis, in which I had the head reworked and which I had done re-assembly of engine, only to find the fuel mixture was horribly over-rich. Your service department gave me some scope on the problem, but i had doubts about the accuracy of this prognosis. ( as you probably recall i delivered to you a some what lenghty sob story on this subject-my apologies, kevin. The car was returned and placed in the care of Scott Dickherber. At this point the car's problem was not only diagnosed again, but REPAIRED, addressing just the problems that were explained two days earlier. As an auto enthusiast who enjoys doing his own maint and repair, i have been truly humbled by your staffs knowledge, professionalism and hugh level of gracious customer care. Ive been almost suprised to find these qualities still exist at such a remarkable level. Wonderful expierience beyond any expectaions.

I have never felt compelled enough to call or write a letter of recommendation before. I don't usually complain too much either. If I am treated poorly I just don't go back. I have just been blown away by my experience with Jay Wolfe Toyota of West County though. I own an '07 Camry. Recently I was in St. Louis on business. I had parked in a parking garage. When I went out to my car, it would not start. This was at about 5:00 p.m. I called the roadside assistance number for Toyota. When the tow-truck got there he could not get into the parking garage! The tow-truck was too big to fit under the roof. After several minutes of panicking I decided to call Toyota of West County. This was at approximately 5:45-6:00. I think they close around 6:00, so I was panicking that I was stuck for the night. They drove out, diagnosed my car on the spot, and got me on the road that night. It turned out not to be a big deal with the car. But then what really blew me away was when I asked Rob what I owed him, he told me NOTHING! Here's a guy that came by on his way home to help me on his time. I have just never had such an experience. And I have to say, I wouldn't do that kind of thing myself. So now you know what compelled me to write my first review, good or bad. Thanks Rob! p.s. I called your boss and told him that you deserve a raise!

It turned out not to be a big deal with the car. But then what really blew me away was when I asked Rob what I owed him, he told me NOTHING! Here's a guy that came by on his way home to help me on his time. I have just never had such an experience. And I have to say, I wouldn't do that kind of thing myself. So now you know what compelled me to write my first review, good or bad. Thanks Rob! p.s. I called your boss and told him that you deserve a raise!

I cannot tell you how much joy they've zapped out of the new car buying experience. While our sales person Mark Mueller was a sweetheart of a guy, they forced him to share the deal with your typical car salesman Shane who more less did nothing other than say "hi" when we walked in the door. Not only did he try to get me to take a car that i didn't order (arguing that I must've ordered this one), but they lost paperwork, overpromised and underdelivered on the date the car would be ready (not once but twice) and then lied about calling me to sign paperwork causing me to almost leave town on expired temp tags.
All the while, not offering anything to sweeten the deal or to make it all "feel better" at the end. I must say that I would never recommend them to anyone, friend or foe. They are clearly all about making the sale, what happens after that they could really care less. Oh, and by the way, we bought TWO cars from them that day!

They have a huge selection on their lot, but I have to wonder if it is because they never sell a car except to real suckers that will pay whatever these guys want them to. Asked them to beat an under invoice quote that I had already gotten from several area dealers and their response was a quote of more than $1000 *over* invoice. They refused to budge from that quote, too!

In fairness, we have used this dealer to do an oil change or two on another Toyota that we own, and they've done such at reasonable prices. So maybe the scam at this dealer is the sales more than the servicing. I certainly hope that's the case, or they'll be out of business really soon.
