I purchased in May a unique item I thought would be wonderful to have. A keepsake of my mother's fingerprint.

The kit was quite expensive $50.00 and one would make a fingerprint necklace or bracelet. I wanted a fingerprint of my 82 year old mother and I thought that I could keep her fingerprint for all time if I did this kit. One is supposed to follow directions and send it to the company and they would return the silver "print" to place on a chain or bracelet.

Well, I tried it, twice. It didn't work. I did not know that as a person ages, their fingerprints fade. Hummm, who would know this?

In defense of the company, they sent me a re-do kit (at no cost) but it didn't work again. What a time I've had, trying hard to get my mother's fingerprint before she's gone. I had hoped to also do this for my grandchildren (7 of them) and wear on a bracelet. I even told my kids, that I'd "love" having this as a Christmas present.

It just doesn't work. Nice thought, though, and I did receive back a pendant, it doesn't have anything on it.

To this end, I make the remark that not everything one might think is a good idea and marketable, is...Thanks. Linda V.

If you're needing a unique gift for someone, or some very cool jewelry for yourself - this is a great mom and pop store! What first struck me as I walked in the door was the happy face that greeted me. Everyone in there was smiling and so eager to help. The baby section is wonderful, I bought a baby shower gift back there. They specialize in a wonderful assortment of religious gifts that aren't hokey. Frames, crosses, books, cds, so much to choose from. There are some neat, highly priced, fragrance systems in there that may make it to my Christmas list next year. The frames are absolutely beautiful, and there were some very unique home decor items that I will have to go back and check out again. The jewelry case is where I focused quite a bit of energy this time - alot of really nice silver jewelry. There were watches, bracelets, necklaces, rings, and custom and engravable items, too. This is definately going on my list of favorite nooks to visit!
