I paid full price up front for a black leather couch and was able to get what I thought was a good price at the time. I later found a much cheaper one out of town but I still felt like it was good that I was supporting local business. A few weeks later a white couch shows up and it took quite a bit of convencing to get them to believe I didn't order the wrong one. After they took the white one away I asked my salesman what kind of compensation I could get for having to wait another month for my couch. He said it was their policy to give a partial refund and he mailed me a check. A month later the black one came and I was told that I owe the amount they refunded me. I wasn't really upset until I called the salesman and he tried to tell me how good of a deal I got and basically scolded me. The only nice thing I have to say is that their selection is pretty good but because of their lack of good communication and attitude toward customers I won't be returning.

I thought Lifestyles furniture was way overpriced for their products. I wasn't impressed with their inventory. They have average items that you could find at tons of other places for far less.

Lifestyles Furniture recently moved from downtown Columbia to a larger store location on East Braodway in the old By George's Bar, next to Mizzou Credit Union and across the street from Office Depot. By relocating, Lifestyles has increased their showroom by at least twice the size it originally was. The furniture store is one of a kind in Columbia, offering modern, well made furniture at good prices. With furniture, you get what you pay for. You might pay a littel more for the furniture at Lifestyles, but it is well worth it and will last a long time. Lifestyles sales staff are kind, and non-pressuring. Alot of furniture stores the minute you walk in the door, the sales staf follows you around waiting for you to buy something. At Lifestyles, they introduce themselves and then ask if you have questions or if you need help and then let you be to look around in peace. They offer free delivery too! Most other furniture stores charge for delivery!
