This is my husband and my favorite little restaurant. I LOVE their house salad. I hate salad but I could eat this all day long. Their pasta is good and hits the spot. It's a fun environment to eat at, and they are kid friendly. We have a little one and bring her every time. You can also order it to go and they'll have it ready. They also do catering I think. Yummy!

I travel over 250,000 miles a year, have had meatball sandwiches from Madrid to Los Angeles and nothing, but nothing beats Manhattan Express. [Warning]...Don't confuse Cafe Manhattan with Manhattan Express! They are owned by the same people and located right across the street from each other, BUT, Cafe Manhattans' meatball sandwich does NOT compare to Manhattan Express--now way...no how.

You can't go wrong here with whatever you order, but the meatball sandwich is TO DIE FOR. The bread is perfectly toasted with just the right amount of cheese, perfect meatballs and just the right amount of sauce---ok, I've talked myself into it...I'm going to get one.....

One thing to keep in mind. This place is pretty much take-out only. They do have a table or two but forget eating there--just get it to go.

Pros: Awesome Meatball sandwich

Cons: not a "dine in" sort of place

Manhattan Express is a short hop from its non-express parent, cafe Manhattan, and is strong on carry-out, with a few sidewalk tables for lunching on nice days. Lots of locals here, guys with baseball caps and baby slings, families having…
