This is one of my favorite local restaurants for a number of reasons. First and foremost, their fare (both food and beer) is honestly made from quality ingredients, and it's well-prepared. The appetizers - especially the goat cheese dip - are delicious, and the entrees are mouth-watering. If there's any fault with their food, its that they put too much pizza toppings on their pizza pies, which tends to throw their flavor and texture out of whack.
I've always been very satisfied with the food and service here. It's also the best place to stock up on Schlafly Beer, as their prices are the best in town.

Pros: Good and fresh beer, delicious food.

Cons: Can be a bit noisy.

We love this place and bring all of our out of town guests to take in the atmosphere, food and beverages. Staff are always friendly and the menu meets a broad spectrum of dietary needs. Vegetarian and vegan offerings.

Pros: outstanding food and service every time

Cons: wish I had a location closer to home!

I have mixed feelings. The dining room feels like a cafeteria. No character whatsoever. The outdoor patio feels too much like a slab with a tent thrown up. And my guy friends don't like that they don't have as many beers here as the Tap Room. But the food is decent and I love that they have so many positive events for the community. It's great for Maplewood. Give it a try.

I had 2 meals there and they were great. I felt I was eating a meal that wouldn't clog my heart. And a smokefree place ,not a smokearaunt. The garden was fabulous.

Went with group of 9 to celebrate a birthday. Had a 6:30 p.m. reservation on a weeknight. Finally got our food just before 8 p.m.--at least some of us did. One person waited another 20 minutes for his pizza. Meatloaf ($16.99) was cold in places, dry and hard and tasted like microwaved leftovers. Ribs ($23.99) were so tough they could barely be cut with a knife. Other dishes were mediocre at best--nothing tasted fresh from the local markets as they advertise. Waitress was unfriendly and disinterested. They refuse to give separate checks for a group, but added a 19 percent tip. We were left to figure out who had what and total our own amounts. The manager's attitude was extremely unprofessional and contentious from the get-go. His liberal use of "the F word" to our group, which included my 80-year-old mother, was very disrespectful. He reluctantly offered to remove the late pizza and four drinks from the bill, after several in the group already had paid, forcing us to sharpen our pencils again. When we thought we finally had the bill settled, he came out to the parking lot, yelling that we were short a couple of bucks and the waitress would just have to make it up. What a great reason for a restaurant to give separate checks! Overall an extremely unpleasant evening. No wonder the restaurant was half empty.

Pros: Decent beer if that's all you want.

Cons: Food was awful. Service was worse. Very noisy.

I have been to the Bottleworks on a few occasions, including my birthday. It is brewhouse that offers several different beers and a decent selection for lucnh or dinner. The food is not the same and one downtown, so don't go in expecting it to be the same (I made that mistake.). The biggest drawback is the service. On at least two occasions our food has not arrived as we ordered it, and in the instance of mybirthday one late person never even recieved his food.

This hometown brewpub never delivers a bad meal or a bad beer, either! This wonderful restaurant has delicious, sophisticated food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's a little noisy sometimes, but the service is outstanding and the food is perfect. All the indoor dining is non-smoking. There's a heated outdoor dining area for smokers.

Schlafly Bottleworks is actually a working brewery. They bottle a variety of different beers here, and they have a bar, restaurant and store on site. It's really interesting to take the tour, and the free beer tasting afterward is even better. We also a enoyed a really good lunch in the restaurant.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, with its very interesting menu selections. We went there right before a St. Louis Cardinal's game. We both had the BLT's- Fantastic!!!!! Peppered bacon, organic produce, just amazing. Desserts were gourmet, and to die for!!!! I highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for something neat to with your friends this is the place. It is in the heart of Maplewood and they have wonderful food and drinks. Prices are higher but for a change it is a great place to go!
