Just got home from Open Door Animal Sanctuary, we were looking to adopt a kitten for the family, my daughter mostly, and when we got there; there were many cats and cute kittens roaming free in the office, we were asked if we needed help

Very impressed with the staff, volunteers. They care about each animal and care for them individually. Also impressed with their facilities and how clean it was. They do a great service to the community as a no kill sanctuary. This means they also run out of room. There are so many strays and abandoned animals. Tey need donations to keep doing what their doing and expand. Great job ODAS!

This is a WONDERFUL PLACE! They took in Doc and Woody my sister's black labs when she was forced to move out of state by a job move. Doc just recently found a new home! I am so happy and hope Doc loves his new place.

This place is amazing!!!!! Every animal I saw at this place appeared well cared for and happy. They deserve a medal for helping all the unfortunate animals and giving them a chance at a comfortable happy life. Thay have their hands full with taking care of them all. It is a lot of hard work and they deserve a lot of credit and if anyone can donate there isn't a more deserving place.. I commend them. They were very helpful when I needed a female spayed and a male neutered. They took excellent care of them and gave them shots also. They also let me borrow crates to take them home. The world needs more places like this that will help animals and help people get there animals spayed and neutered so there isn't so many unwanted animals in the world. There are too many places making it unaffordable for a lot of people to get their animals spayed or neutered which contributes to the unwanted animals, which is so sad. This place gets 5 STARS.

We adopted a 3 year old beagle mix this weekend from Open Door while they were at PetSmart in Chesterfield. (Good for PetSmart to bring such wonderful agencies to us) I had no intention of adopting another dog right now as I have one, but this little guy, Beaner, was the male version of my female beagle mix and I am so glad that we brought him home. Things are going great, my kids love him, the dogs are getting along great. Open Door was wonderful. I love supporting a no-kill shelter and love their story. Thanks for taking such good care of our new addition. He is happy and healthy.

This was my first time adopting a pet and I love my little kitty. I choose them because they are a no-kill shelter. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. They even gave me some free medication and didn't charge me for a vet visit shortly after I got him. I'm hoping to get my next cat from there soon!

Open Door is a no kill shelter. I've seen everything from puppies to senior dogs. If they don't get adopted, they don't leave. There should be more places like this in our area and the world. You can't beat them!

We adopted Alfie (A black lab mix)from Open Door and we just love him. It was our first time adopting and everyone at Open Door was soooooo nice and if I ever decide to give Alfie another playmate, I am definitely going to adopt at Open door. Make this sanctuary

PROS: This is a great place to find the best next member to your family
CONS: I can't think of any cons. I only have great things to say about Open Door
