This is one of the better restaurants in the South Grand district. Good service, nice patio, and a great variety of vegetarian and meaty food. You can go big or just get a falafel there. The area is great to walk around after dinner and window shop or people watch.

Pros: food, price, location

I've been to quite a few Persian restaurants and this has got to be by far the worst. A few friends and I wanted Kabobs so we THOUGHT this would be the place to go. The locale is nice and so are the staff but the food is just horrible. We ordered the appetizer Baba Ganoosh and the waiter claimed it was fresh. In actuality it was just a paste that I could have sworn came out of a can. Well I was able to forgive that if the main dish was great, which was the Sultane Kabob (at $17). I ordered it well done and I got medium rare (with the outside burned) with white rice (average quality).

The waiter came by and asked how it was and I told him they ordered it wrong, and he said he could make another one but it would take 30 minutes. At this time I told him it was okay, and just ate it. It was not spiced at all, it was raw in the inside and burned on the outside. I wish I had ordered what my friend ordered, the chicken instead. It tasted better, but it also was bland and uninspired.

That was the first and last time I'll ever eat there. If you like Persian/Middle Eastern food this place is not recommended. If you have never had Persian food, you might want to try this place just for the experience. They do offer a variety of dishes and the service was not bad.

There are better Persian/Middle Eastern Food out there (for a better price) and I'd recommend Sameems Afghan Restaurant across the street or Salims Restaurant off of Delmar Avenue.

Pros: Nice Interior, Variety of Dishes to Choose From.
Cons: Low quality, bland, almost tasteless Persian/Middle Eastern food. Street Parking.

Six friends and I went to Cafe Natasha for my birthday. I made reservations and they sat us outside. The temperature was perfect and the atmosphere was great! We had hummus for an appetizer, which was terrific, and everyone's food was great. Our server was also very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, but it is especially nice outside for couples.

Cate Natasha has a long-standing reputation for providing a romantic setting and tasty, Persian cuisine. I took a friend there for his birthday and had a great time. Also, the waitress was helpful in selecting items from the somewhat exotic menu. My friends just went there last month for an anniversary dinner and loved it. The intimate atmosphere is not overly fancy, so families and other small groups would also enjoy this restaurant. It's small and very popular, so reservations, while not a must, are strongly recommended, especially for a special occasion.

We read the menu outside the restaurant & it sounded fantastic. We went in, were asked how many were in our party (3), & they told us it would be a couple minutes while they cleared a table. We sat down in plain view to wait. After waiting 15 minutes a couple came in & were immediately seated. Ten minutes later the same thing happened. They didn't even say a word to us. I'll never go back again.

A great place for lunch or dinner, from the owners of the Persian restaurant Café Natasha. Very fresh ingredients and healthy middle-Eastern cuisine: Persian Koubideh (ground lamb beef kabob), both beef and chicken kabob, lentil soup (osh), and Lebanese falafil are some of the offerings. Dishes can be ordered as either a platter or a sandwich; when ordering a platter be sure to try the raisin and lentil rice pilaf (adaspolo), a wonderful piece of Persian cuisine. Patio seating is coming soon. Excellent food and service without pretension. I highly recommend Kabob International for its fresh, high-quality food at very reasonable prices.
