I got my hair cut about a year ago at Lemon Spalon with Julia Navarro. She is wonderful! I have naturally thick and curly hair and it is very hard for stylists to know how to cut it the right way without it poofing strangely. Julia has the SAME kind of hair as I do and did the BEST job with my hair when cutting it! I have had trims since then and it makes me miss her even more because they can't do it the same way. The front desk people weren't the best, but she was wonderful and worth the 1.5 hour trip! Wonderful hair stylist, does exactly what you want!??

Julia has mastered the ability to give me a hair cut and make it look like I didn't get a hair cut. Everyone else I've gone to was inconsistent and couldn't avoid over cutting. She''s great!

I recently moved back to the St. Louis area and was horrified at the thought of finding someone to fill the shoes of my amazing hair dresser in Michigan. After trying several other salons I was left feeling so disappointed with my hair and the service that I flew back to Michigan to see my hairstylist there. At work one day I saw someone with fabulous hair so I enquired who her stylist was. She said Ricca at Lemon Spalon. After researching her and the salon, I decided to give her a try. After seeing her today I am VERY pleased to say that I have found an amazing stylist in St. Louis and I cannot wait to have my hair colored by her. While I still adore my original stylist in Michigan I am happy that I don't have to travel to Michigan all the time to have awesome hair.

Lemon Spalon is a trendy salon in St. Louis's Central West End. When I lived there for school, I relied on Heather, Denny, Reka and Tracey for all of my needs! Now, whenever I go back to St Louis I make sure to call and schedule an appointment. They are all on top of their game. They make you look great and they all have such personality. They make you feel like you are coming home. I highly recommend Lemon Spalon. I've never had a bad experience there and I've been there countless times! I wish they were in the city I live in now.

I recently moved here from NYC and have been searching for the PERFECT brazilian. Through many internet searches, trial and lots of error I finally stumbled upon LEMON in the Central West End. The space is super sassy and cute, reminded me of back home. Traci made me feel completely comfortable. She is Super CUTE with her Texas accent. While I was at there I discovered they offer microderm at an amazing price. And next week I have hair appointment. Lemon is truly a little secret tucked away in the CWE. I can?t wait to return.

My experience with Lemon Spalon was fantastic! The front desk was so inviting, and made me feel right at home. My haircut was the best i have ever gotten. I got so many compliments that night when i went out, i felt like a movie star. I also had my brows done by Traci and I will never go anywhere else again. I love Lemon Spalon, I will recommend it to everyone!

I went to Whitney at the Lemon Spalon to get highlights. It was, undoubtedly, the worst dye job that I've ever gotten. She rushed through the whole procedure and did an incredibly sloppy job. For the middle section of my hair she just put bleach on everything, so that when I left it didn't look like I'd gotten highlights it just looked like I had thrown bleach on my head. I paid and went home to examine it further to see if I was just being picky. My hair was an unattractive orange hue, I already had roots because she hadn't bothered to apply the dye all of the way to the root, and I had a lot of splotchy areas where she had not painted the whole strip of hair. I made an appointment at another salon to get it fixed. The hairdresser there thought that I had bleached my hair at home and suggested that I get a refund from Lemon Spalon. The following day I called and talked to the owner, Heather, who told me that they did not give refunds, but they would give me some other service in the future, which I will not be taking her up on. Overall, poor customer service (besides the extremely friendly male receptionist) and the worst dye job/highlights that I have ever gotten. Boo.

I've never had a service at Lemon that wasn't great. Professional, friendly, just edgy enough to be trendy, but grounded enough to fit YOUR look ,and not somebody else's idea of how you should look. The spalon's standout is their esthetician, Judith, who is waging a one woman war against body hair. Nobody knows brows like Judith, and her brazilian bikini waxes will leave you smoother than a baby's bottom.

Pros: Friendly, fun, great location, professional, comfortable

Cons: Wish they did nails and massage, too. I'd never go anywhere else!

Message from Lemon Salon

Heather opened lemon Spalon 10 years ago this year. Having already been in the salon industry for 10 years, she decided it was time to make her own mark.  The CWE had always been a favorite spot to her, and armed with a passion for a unique fun space and a lot of supporters that is what she did.  Surrounded by talented people who love their craft as much as she does, saint Louis got its first Spalon.
