AVOID! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LEES SUMMIT HONDA!
This past Friday, my airbag indicator light went off and I called Lees Summit Honda and scheduled a time to have my vehicle looked at. The following Monday, I arrived at the Service Center at 7 am to do a diagnostic. After waiting nearly 2 hours the Express Advisor, Jamie Rowe-Russo, notified me that the airbag malfunction was covered under warranty and would be repaired at no cost to me. She then listed several issues with my car (crack in the engine manifold that was leaking exhaust into the cars cabin, as well as some gaskets that needed replaced). She totaled those repairs to$1,600. I plainly explained to her I cant afford that. My car isnt even worth that much. Its worth $500 tops. In fact, Im planning on getting rid of it soon. I was told that a part needed to be ordered to repair the airbag malfunction; theyd need to keep the vehicle and was sent off in a rental car.

The following day I received a call that my vehicle was finished and I arrived shortly after back to the Service Center. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a bill for $956. Caught completely off guard, I asked Jamie why these repairs were done to my car without my authorization. She claims I verbally told her to do so. I never once agreed for them to make these repairs and asked for a document that I signed that authorized the repairs. She said we dont do that here. I was dumbfounded. Jamie offered me a credit card application to help pay for the repairs.
Next, I asked to speak to a General Manager and I was introduced to another Service Manager named Chris Stevens. Again, I explained the situation to him. At first he was understanding, and then suddenly turned rude. I simply said I didnt authorize these repairs, your assistant (Jamie) admitted that I told her I cant afford it, and you dont have anything to prove my desire to have these repairs made. Plain and simple. Any manager worth anything would simply say Its a miscommunication on our part, we apologize, and well eat the $956 bill. Instead Chris offered to put my old, damaged parts back in my car! How insulting! I reluctantly agreed because I spent nearly 2 hours there and was late returning to work. I felt cheated to say the least. In hindsight, I shouldve just taken my keys from them and left.

The following day, I received a call that my car was finished (replaced with my old parts). I arrived and asked to speak to the highest person in charge at the dealership. I was introduced to Scott Hubbard, who was kind enough to allow me to explain the situation again. He brought Jamie in the office, where again, she admitted that I told her I cant afford it. My car isnt worth that much. I explained to Scott that he has a gap in his system that needs fixed: the customer should authorize repairs, by signing an itemized service order. Scott told me thats what supposed to happen, but even if a customer did sign an order form, wed still be having this conversation. Seriously? I asked why wasnt I given anything to sign? People make mistakes, was his response. Again, any manager worth anything wouldve offered to remedy the situation appropriately (free oil changes, a Honda credit, etc.). After explaining how he wanted his customers to leave feeling satisfied, Scott made no such offer to make the situation fair for me. I explained to him how bad this was for business. Here he has a customer in need of a new car and he wont offer anything to appease me. You got your car back the way you brought it in. We fixed the airbag. Bad business. I told him Id like to, but I just cant do business with you. He didnt seem to care much at all. I wasnt looking to get anyone in trouble, wasnt looking to exploit the situation- just wanted to be treated fairly. Guess I wasnt worth that to them. I wont be back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

This place has totally SCREWED my daughter. She is on her 3rd and last Honda. Took it into Lee's Summit Honda for 100,000 mile maintenance. Car ran great, no problems always on time with maintenance. Well, $1,000 for maintenance and then "found" another $1,000 worth of problems so $2,000 later she takes it home. The NEXT day the electrical system goes out, the transmission starts slipping so back it goes. They told her bad battery and transmission. WTH? Ran fine until they got ahold of it. Thanks for nothing Lee's Summit Honda. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage if a young woman.

The NEXT day the electrical system goes out, the transmission starts slipping so back it goes. They told her bad battery and transmission. WTH? Ran fine until they got ahold of it. Thanks for nothing Lee's Summit Honda. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage if a young woman.

Purchasing process was smooth. But, we also bought a window tinting and all weather package. Scheduled an appointment to get parts installed and from then on it has been a nightmare. Took our vehicle in for installation and the next day we went back to pick it up and nothing, I mean NOTHING was done. It just sat there the whole day. What a waste of my day. The worst part about it is that nobody had the courtesy to call us and let us know. So, I had to leave it for another day. Went back the following day to find out that the guy who installed the all weather package messed up the bumper application. They told us another part should be in monday morning and someone would call us that morning. Waited all morning and NEVER received a call. When I called they said the part would not be in until wednesday at the latest. Talked to the general manager and he seemed irritated about having to deal with our situation. It's just amazing how people think that their time is precious and everyone else's is not important. I just have to say I will never recommend this place to anyone I know. Everytime I spoke to someone at Lees Summit Honda their excuses were it was a misunderstanding. I am a very pleasant and happy person, and hardly ever get this upset. Can't wait until this whole ordeal is finished. BOTTOM LINE IS THAT LEES SUMMIT HONDA'S COMMINUCATION IS IN NO WAY BUSSINESSLIKE. It has made my last couple of weeks a stressful and unpleasant experience.

Purchased 2 new Hondas in about a 9 month span. Four months after the second purchase, it was totaled in a bad accident. We went back to replace it with an identical car. We were told the price would be $1500 higher now. What?! Umm, 4 months later, 2010 cars ready arrive on the ground, and you can't match a previous sale price on a leftover 2009 car? We were told that basically market conditions have changed, and that with the cash for clunkers program coming, management was not as willing to deal on cars due to supply and anticipated demand. Well, sorry we were rear ended and our car was totaled, not our fault. Would have been our third new Honda in a year from this store. Seemed to be little to zero sense of urgency to get us into another Honda...they wanted $1500 more for a duplicate Civic. All we were asking was to pay the same price for the same car from 3.5 months earlier. We left, feeling like very unvalued clients, and bought a new Mazda, which actually we like better. Still, disappointing that when push came to shove, LS Honda couldn't have cared less whether we were repeat clients. Guess they already had our money twice.\r\n\r\nWhen we bought our first car here, I needed some assistance one day and asked to see the manager. I could see him sitting and laughing with some other salespeople throught the glass wall of his office. When he was told I needed to see him, I heard him tell the person that he was too busy right now. Nice. What I needed would have taken 30 seconds. Too bad I could see that he was not too busy through his office wall...well, maybe busy telling jokes.

Lee's Summit Honda specializes in Honda maintanance. My experience has always been good. They are fast and friendly with usually little wait time for routine things.
Are they a good deal? The oil change is because they give you a punch card and get a free oil change after so many. However, you should always shop around for large repairs.
I will go back, of course, for my routine maintanance.

I have heard she was later fired, but we were lied to regarding the purchase of a Element from Lee's Summit Honda. We ended up taking our business to another dealership and have since purchased 2 additional new cars (see my other reviews to see where) but we were so dissapointed that Lee's Summit allowed someone with such low ethics to represent their business. Super convenient location, but unless the sales associates are honest, it is worth it to drive just a little bit further.
