Pizza was great with plenty of options for toppings. The lines were short and the happy hour prices were fantastic for drinks.

This place not only has the best regular pizza in town but also has gluten free and vegan options! My whole family can eat there despite one with Celiac and another with lactose intolerance. Plus the GF menu also has fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes and breadsticks!!

This is my favorite pizza place in Kansas City. They have a great lunch buffet an the best pizza in the area. If I had one complaint it would be that it can be pretty noisy, but that's why God created carry out.

My husband and I treated ourselves to a date at Waldo Pizza last night and had a great time. Being a Friday, we called ahead and were seated within five minutes of getting there. The pizza was great and we both enjoyed their very extensive beer list. We thought it was a great value for our money. A great place for people who like pizza and beer!

This is one of my favorite haunts in Kansas City. Of particular note is their certified cicerone, Elliot, who can make fantastic beer selections and tell you as much as you can stand to hear about it.

I would say this place comes in in the top 5 in Kansas City. It is in a fun funky part of town and the atmosphere reflects that a bit. The crust is just right crispy but not overcooked. Plenty of topping choices and fairly quick.

Somebody at Waldo Pizza is in Love with Saint Louis and I dig it. The Saint Louis style Pizza is great. We created our own with the provolone that it comes with, red sauce, basil, roma tomatoes, roasted chicken --- it was wonderful!! The atmosphere was fun and we were seated within 30 min on a Friday night! I think anyone in KC or passing through should stop in!

Great Pizza and a wonderful salad bar. Fun atmosphere for the kiddos. Monday nights they have a magican and it is great entertainment for all. Not only do they have a huge selection of variety for your pizza they also have lots of adult beverages to choose from. AWESOME!!

We like the thin crust mushroom & tomato. For "fun" we have ordered the seafood with alfredo sauce and the gyro meat w/ feta. Those were good, but the regular pizza is what I like the best!

We order during the week to save some $ - they have specials. The pizza has a "creamy" taste to it - must be the cheese they use. It's great.

Pros: Location, Local Dining, Thin Crust

Cons: Parking can be hard

While the pizza was good, I didn't see it being worth all the hype it usually gets. The night we were there the place was packed, partly because a large group from a kids' soccer team was there - VERY loud! It took us about 30 minutes to get seated and then the waitress was stressed and took a long time to come back with our drinks before she ever took our order. I'm willing to admit that I need to go back on another night to give it a fair shot, but if you're looking for good pizza in KC there are other places to go with food just as good and more seating room.

Pros: good food, great beer selection

Cons: can get very busy and it isn't that big a place

.

Great pizza, good atmoshphere, and the best lunch buffet in town.
What really makes this place great is the Vegan pizza. My wife is vegan and that doesn't leave many options for going out and grabbing a slice, but waldo has got that problem covered. The salad bar isn't huge, but the garlic ranch dressing is great and provides another quality option for the avoiders of all things meat.

Waldo Pizza is the very best pizza in the greater Kansas City area. The just right, hand tossed crust is perfectly complimented by the amazing sauce and the endless options of fresh toppings. The atmosphere is fun, upbeat and friendly, perfect for friends, couples and families without catering to any one customer base. Waldo Pizza is the perfect pizza. This is where pizza goes when it dies.

I have lived many places in the U.S. (including New York) and have never found such an amazing pizza place! The St. Louis style crust is unbelievable, and the list of possible toppings seems to go on for ever (not to even mention the beer list!). Although I no longer live in the Kansas City area, I make it a point to eat here when I visit with friends (as recently as last month). I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good pizza and an unpretensious environment.

Waldo Pizza is located in the heart of the Waldo Neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. They have a great salad bar and the garlic ranch dressing is very good. They have thin, original, and Chicago style crust. There pizza is always very fresh and never a dissapointment. They also deliver to local addresses. It is a great place to go to watch a game, or just to visit with friends.

I used to go to Waldos every weekend but have stopped since their expansion. The pizza is as good as ever, but the ambiance has changed. There are too many large parties, especially post-sports game parties where parents think it is appropriate to bring 20 kids in to eat. Minsky's on Main does not cater to these kinds of parties and they now earn my business. It's a shame because Phil is a nice guy but he needs to take control of his business better. Parents - take your kids to Pizza Hut!!

Finally, a GREAT pizza place our family can agree on! We used to argue over NY or chicago. Their hand tossed siuts the bill for all. Fresh, gooey, delicious! The ONLY pepperoni I will eat! Sandwiches are top notch too. Good optoins for kids-garlic cheese bread instead of sacrificing half your pizza to "just cheese." GREAT value!

The selections for the pizza could be well over 1000 different combinations. The pizza is great when you make the right combinations. I've only had 1 bad pizza and it was just not a good mix of items for me, roasted garlic is was the problem. (i like garlic as a accent of flavor not as the main flavor). And if you like beer try the crimson and blue with a chicken, artichoke and basil pizza its a perfect match made in heaven. You can get anything from Don Perignon to pabst blue. All in all this is a great place to go.

There is no oter pizza in the city where you can get as many unusual toppings on a pizza. My favorite pie is Sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pineapple, and cream cheese.

I simply can't understand the praise for this pizza. I have to agree with onewhoknows on this one. I've been too the lunch buffet a few times with co-workers, and have always disliked the pizza. I think more folks should spend a week in Chicago and visit the great pizza establishments there. If you still prefer Waldo Pizza after that, I'll buy you lunch there!

After recently visiting Chicago and trying out their famous Chicago style pizza, I found that Kansas City had an even better Chicago Style Pizza here in Missouri. I had been to Waldo's once before I went to Chicago and three times since I have been back and nothing beats this place. They have soooo many toppings and cheeses to choose from and the atmosphere is nice~just like a oizza place was meant to be. Ever since I had Waldo's Pizza I can't eat it any where else no other pizza tastes good after you have Waldo's!!!

The best part about Waldo Pizza is the owner. I have been a customer there for several years now, but when I first began eating there I met Phil. He seems to be a connoisseur of fine beers and so I told him about my favorite. The next time I was there he had gotten some in for me. Talk about customer service! The pizza is great (my favorite thin crust in KC), the salad bar is good, and the beer is fantastic. Does attract families with kids which I find a little noisy at times.

Best Pizza place in KC. Used to be the only place to get real "st. louis" style (imo's) in town. They also serve "deep dish" and "traditional" crusts. Great salad bar and table top pac-man. Good famliy place, go later to aviod the kids.

Waldo is second only to D'Bronx. It's certainly better than papa John's. While papa john's is good and definately the best fast pizza, Waldo is ahead of it overall.

Ever since expanding, Waldo has been whipping their pizza's out faster. This has caused several under cooked pizza's for me. We have even asked to cook it longer, and it still comes out "doughy" and sometimes even seeing flour. Get the thin crust or wait 45 min for deep dish-they seem to do these better. Katie Trail Pale Ale is excellent on tap, and we have freinds who work there so we do end up going back quite frequently. The salad bar rocks as does the lunch buffet.
