Located on the 28th floor of the Millennium Hotel, the Top of the Riverfront is the city's only rooftop revolving restaurant. A St. Louis favorite since 1969, the Top of the Riverfront features distinctive regional American cuisine and offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Gateway Arch. It is open for dinner only Tuesday through Saturday and features the city's most popular Sunday brunch.
This is the best place to go in st. louis for a special occasion. You simply cannot beat the atmosphere. To be able to rotate around and see all of st louis is spectacular! The food is very good! The only downside is the price - you need to budget for a meal here but it is worth it!

Relax and enjoy the view of the city of St. Louis from the only revolving restaurant in the area. It takes about an hour to completely revolve, so plenty of time for dinner. A little expensive, but very nice.

My boyfriend and I went to Top of the Riverfront last night for Restaurant Week. We will not be going back. The prime rib was so tough I almost couldn't cut it, let alone chew it. The creme brule was rubbery and I suspect had been sitting in the fridge for a few days before they tossed it on the table. They also said they validate parking across the street, but after using the ticket they gave me to get out of the garage I still had to pay $7. Two thumbs down.

I loved this place. It's an expensive date, but worth seeing at least once. While we were there, we watched a thunderstorm off in the distance. It was remarkable. The view is the best you'll get, other than going up in the arch. While the food was great, be prepared to pay for the experience. is it worth it? Absolutely. It's a superb spot for special occasions, and very romantic.

Top of the Riverfront is one of Saint Louis' ideal restaurants for the most important date like engagements, anniverseries, or just an elegant place to romance the love of your life. The restaurant is located at the top of the Millenium Hotel in the historic downtown and offers miraculous views of the city while listening to live piano music playing sappy love songs from the past. While enjoying fine dining, the restaurant rotates to give you spectacular views of the mighty Mississippi, the Arch, Busch Stadium, and other grande structure like the courthouse. This is must dine for anyone looking for an intimate setting with excellent service and great cuisine. I proposed to my fiance at this restaurant because of its romantic flare it offered. The view of the city is miraculous and the live piano music is enticing. We love the experience and will go back for our special occasions.
PROS: Incredible city views, professional service, very intimate and romatic
CONS: Priced a little high for food quality, seating availability is limited

I received a coupon in the mail for the Top. My family loves Sunday Brunch. so decided to take them to the revolving restaurant the last time they came in town. I had never been there before but heard good things. I was really impressed with how many options they had to serve. From waffles to omelettes to fancy meats to yummy desserts, my family was pleased with the variety. The price might scare you off but you are getting your money's worth in food and the view. I will definitely come back and try their dinner sometime.
Pros: Sunday Brunch was delicious

I had to write this review because before we went, I checked out the other reviews and thought it would be great. Please don't waste your time!!
I am not accustomed to going to fancy restaurants, but was excited to finally go to this one (the view was mostly what I was looking forward to). Let me tell you ... this restaraunt is waaaayyyy past its prime. Everything from the shabby carpet, bathrooms, uniforms, and employees. Our waitress was very nice and did everything correctly, but the other wait staff looked worn out. Their uniforms were worn out too. The appetizer was good, my steak was way overcooked. The grime on the windows was noticed after seeing a big black ro* ach crawl down the window as I was eating my overcooked steak. Overall, I was pretty disgusted. I would expect this restaurant to be at least as clean as our local TGI Fridays, or Applebees, but it wasn't... trust me!!! (It's odd that this review won't let me write the word ro * achwithout the * - HUH?)
Pros: View
Cons: Everything else

I TOOK MY GIRLFRIEND ON SATURDAY 8-16-08 FOR HER BIRTHDAY. OUR FIRST TIME. DECOR INSIDE WAS OLD AND NEEDED A LITTLE SPRUCING UP. THE VIEWS WERE AMAZING. OUR WAITER WAS GREAT. THE MENU WAS A THREE COURSE MENU $25 PER PERSON INCLUDING AN APPETIZER OR SALAD, AN ENTREE, AND A DESERT. I GOT OUT OF THEIR SPENDING UNDER $70 BUCKS WITHOUT TIP AFTER I HAD A BEER AND SHE HAD A GLASS OF WINE. I HAD A GOAT CHEESE AND MUSHROOM STRUDEL, A PRIME RIB, AND A BAKALAVA CHOCOLATE BROWNIE WITH ICECREAM. THE STRUDEL WAS GREAT UNLIKE ANYTHING I'D EVER HAD BEFORE, PRIME RIB WAS AVERAGE, AND BAKALAVA BROWNIE WAS AWESOME. MY GIRLFRIEND HAD AN APPLE SOUP, TUTOMORE PASTA WITH SHRIMP AND CRAB, AND CREME BRUELLE. SHE SAID THE SOUP WAS OK, PASTA WAS AVERAGE, AND CREME BRUELLE WAS WORSE THAN INSTANT PUDDING. OVERALL I HAD A GOOD MEAL BUT MIGHT TRY A DIFFERENT ENTREE. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF HER CHOICES.
Pros: VIEWS, PIANO PLAYER SINGING, SERVICE.
Cons: PARKING

We showed up without a reservation (4 of us) and the hostess was very accommodating. They fit us into the schedule and we all had steaks of varying types. the portions were plentiful and the steaks were great. Great presentation on the plate, as well.
The view was outstanding and within 90 minutes you can see a 360 degree view of the city.
Too bad the last diner had a bad experience, but ours was fine.
Pros: View and Food

My husband and I went here for his 30th birthday. It was the worst experience ever! The water glasses were dirty and something was floating in the water. The food was horrific! We ordered two 14oz New York Strip Steaks with potatoes and vegetables. The steak were extremely tough and distasteful and the potatoes were disgusting! My husband and I both vomitted when we got home. We called when we got home to complain about the food. The director mentioned there was nothing he could do. This was the worst experience ever. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Beware!
Pros: View
Cons: Food, Value, and Service

Great brunch with a revolving view of the city. Takes about an entire brunch for a full revolution. Best when someone else pays!
Pros: 1 - view 2- brunch
Cons: expensive

My boyfriend took me to Top of the River for Valneines Day and I had a great time. It was awesome to see the city and arch all lit up from that view. I have always wanted to go to this restraunt and was a little hesitant due to some reviews I have read, but the food was actually great, because it was Valentines day they had a 4 course menu that was offered and I got the lobster & steak and it was just delicious. I would definatly recommend this restraunt for a special occasion (make reservations!)
Pros: Great view, romantic, good food
Cons: pricey

The view is awesome, especialli when you are over the new stadium, but can't remeber when I had a worse dining experience. Maybe try it for brunch but don't count on much in the way of food.

This is a once in a lifetime experience that everyone must enjoy once in their lives. Can be quite expensive if you get high priced items but have to go all out on such a great place. Excellent food, service, and the view is breathtaking. You revolve just about once through your whole meal to get a full view of the city.
Pros: Food, View, Service
Cons: Expensive

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and it was amazing. The view was incredible, plan on going to see the sunset. The food was great, they are famous for their peppersteak. I had the Filet Mignon and it was the best I have ever had. I highly recommend Top of the Riverfront to anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion.
Pros: Food, View, Romantic
Cons: Parking

Food, service, view were excellent. Don't go near a special occasion such as Valentine's Day. The only menu offered was based on their Valentine's Day menu and I considered it very pricey...It was the Friday night before Valentine's Day on Monday, and considered a special occasion. They automatically add 21.5% onto the check for tip. They don't tell you this until you get the check. I like to determine the amount I wish to tip. It is customary to add 15%, but if a waiter/waitress gives me great service, then I tip accordingly. I don't like for someone to determine how I felt the service was. The menus did not have any prices on them. I like to know the cost of my purchases beforehand, be it dinner, clothing, or a new car. I wouldn't walk onto a car showroom without knowing the prices of the cars.
Pros: Excellent, Romantic, Ambience
Cons: EXPENSIVE, Parking

Have been to this restaurant a handful of times, and it has never ceased to please. Food is an eclectic mix of American cuisine from different regions, dessert is everything from pie to an absolutely delightful creme brulee. Entrees are not that expensive, but throw booze into the mix, and it gets pricey quickly. Caveat lector. All in all, this is in the top 3 in the city.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
Cons: Parking

I took my finace to the Top of the Riverfront last December to celebrate Christmas. It was an outstanding evening. The food was delicious, and the night was awesome. I ordered a pork over spinach meal, quite what we do have in this area's cuisine (unlike the editor's note), and it was absolutely fabulous and my date was very pleased with her meal. It was definately worth the $80 bill. Great food and a great view made for a tremendous restaurant. It was an awesome prelude to watching the A Christmas Carol at the Fox, and having a night to remember always.
Pros: Romantic, Great Cuisine, Quiet

My son and his wife took me to the Top of the Riverfront for brunch Nov. 17, 2002. The view was fantastic, the food was so abundant it was "intimidating" but absolutely wonderful...our waiter was excellent.........I am ready to go back and take friends to enjoy this spectacular brunch.
