If you like books and prefer purchasing to borrowing, this is the place for you. With a selection that pretty much includes a little of everything, no one should have trouble finding what they want. The store is well lit and organized by subject posted on big signs hung from the ceiling so there really is no trouble finding your subject. The staff is friendly, but non-invasive so you are left to browse at your leisure. If you do find you need help, and employee is usually pretty easy to find so that isn't any trouble at all. The prices are, to me the best part. Being able to find hardback books in new condition for only a dollar is, one of the best things for me. All their books are at least half off the publisher's price though and some for less. They also carry CDs, DVDs, records, VHS tapes, computer games and more and since a lot of the merchandise comes from regular people selling their things to them, each store is different. The only problem I have is that sometimes their organization throws me. For example, a book of Maya Angelou poetry could be in poetry, african-american studies or women's studies, you can never be sure. Despite that, this store rivals any big chain for selection and atmosphere and you just can't beat the price.
