AWFUL customer service!!!

I purchased an expensive Serta mattress from Brown's Furniture 2 years ago. When the salesperson sold it to me they talked up the great warranty. What a JOKE.
After 1 year the mattress sinks so bad it resembles a hammock. They blamed my husband's weight which was very unprofessional. (He is 6'5, of course he weighs a lot!)
They gave us a credit for a new mattress and of course to get something comparable to the first piece of crap we had to "UPGRADE".
This ended up costing us an additional $600 and a year later the mattress is sinking again.
They will not replace it, although the issues with this mattress are identical to our first mattress from hell.
Tell everyone you know that Brown's Furniture has horrible customer service.
They schmooze you to get you to buy and once they've made their money off of you, you no longer matter to them.

Wounderful

. I was at Browns Furniture the other day and was greeted by a nice young lady. She had taken her time and explained all the new sales that they had going on. I told her that I just wanted to look so she told me to make myself at home . She came and checked on me , Just to see if I was okay. I was taking my time through the store and again this young lady approached me and asked if she could help me answer any questions that I may have, My reply was no. She smiled softly, and said that she was there to help in anyway. I was done shopping around in the furniture, and when to the bedding department, it was my intention just to look. While I was in the bedding she approached me again, softly, asking me what kind of bed I have now, And I replied. Then she asked me when was the last time I had shopped for a new mattress? I was not sure, She then asked me if I was comfortable? Not in all my years of being out has a sales person asked me if I was comfortable, and you know what she made me comfortable. This young lady was interested in me as a person, she became like a old friend that I had lost contact with, and you know what I bought a mattress form her, she cared enough not to pressure me and make me feel uncomfortable. So if you are shopping around and want a sales person that cares go to browns and ask for the young lady, you can miss her.

Loved Browns Furniture

My wife and I recently purchased living room furniture at Browns and had a great experience. We love the special order pieces we bought and the delivery guys were excellent. I would highly recommend this store and we will go back again and again.

Nice Store!

My husband and I were looking for a leather chair. We went into Browns and found a blue leather Lazy Boy recliner we just loved. We shopped other stores including the Lazy Boy store and nobody could beat the deal we got from Browns! We even picked up our chair right on the spot and took it home. The sales lady was very nice. We will definitely be back! Thank you Browns!

Browns Furniture is NOT the same as 20 years ago!

When we first moved to Blue Springs, Browns was our Ethan Allen - you know the great stuff you can dream about, but can't afford. As our income grew, we began being customers and were happy with our purchases and the service. Recently, we were due for a new living-room set, and before going to the mega NFM, wanted to purchase locally. I was saddened to walk into the store w/ leak-stained ceilings, and a cheap dirty atmosphere. Even the gallery rooms were not up to their old standards - not as tastefully decorated with quality items as before. When I went up to the counter, at 10AM, I saw all the wastebaskets at the desks were overflowing with trash and the carpets were badly stained. The young sales gal was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the older sales people kept correcting her in front of us, but to her credit, each time she was the one who was correct - having first passed our questions by her boss. I felt uncomfortable for her, although she took it with grace and returned a soft answer back to their cranky comments. What has happened? Are they giving up - ready to retire? This is NOT the same Browns. I felt I was shopping in a bargain basement in the inner city!!

Brown's Furniture Blue Springs Missouri

I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner several years ago from Brown's. When we bought, their service was great, and their people very knowledgeable. However, it's customer service after the sale that really counts, especially in this economy. I have had very few problems with it, even though I spend a lot of time in it (I've had a stroke and have to sleep in my chair), and I must admit I am rather hard on it. Brown's, and their service technician Josh, have been there every time, and have taken very good care of me. I just had to have the mechanism replaced because it broke in a couple of places. Now, I'm a pretty big guy, and I was not surprised that it broke eventually. Josh came out very quickly, got the new mechanism installed, and even came out on his own time to make sure the back was securely locked in place. I can't say enough good things about those folks! They know what customer service is all about, and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

prices concur with quality

My husband and I shopped Browns Furniture last week. We were not approached by a single sales person. My little girls needed to use the restroom, once they entered the restroom they came out immediately as it was absolutely disgusting. The prices of furniture was concurrent with the quality of the furniture. I personally would much rather pay a little more for furniture that will last much, much longer. We were shopping for sofa sets and bedroom furniture...perhaps may have purchased a bedroom set from them but the sales people never approached ... they definitely were not busy cleaning the restroom.

Will Never go back to Browns

After many years of being satisfied with Browns I am telling you We will never go back! We 12/01/08 bought a a new king size bed set 01/09 called to let them know our pillow top was coming apart. Josh came out and took pics. Called and said to come in and pick out another. As they had stopped making this one. They did not know they were not going to make this one a month ago? We did only to find out they would only replace the pillow top. The prob is they will not replace it all. I bought a match set. Do I a month later want a mix match set NO! If you buy a new frig and the freezer is broke do they only replace the freezer part NO! Any way we went in picked out another had to of course up grade so MORE $ then we are told that is only the pillow top not the whole bed. While we are looking one lady comes to tell the very nice young girl... they are only resale! So she had to go help. A new CUSTOMER. Finally someone came back. So we were unhappy about being treated like they would not make any thing off us. Was rude the whole time kept tyring to basically give us to someone else. So did I get attitude You bet ya. ALL I WANT IS A MATCHING SET!! Will I call the credit company and the better business burrow? YES I WILL!

I love this store!

I am a repeat customer - have shopped at Brown's for many years. I have always been happy with my purchases and the staff. The selection is great - the quality is great - I can only say nice things about my experiences with the store, staff, and the items I have purchased. I love their sales, their 0% interest, their financing plan - EVERYTHING!

Purchased a sofa and loveseat

We purchased a sofa and loveseat and were asked if we wanted scotchguard protection applied before delivery, we agreed to it. When the items were delivered I did not check to see if it had been applied, a few days later I did apply some water to one of the sofa arm covers to see it it beaded up. When I discovered the Scotchguard had not been applied as promised I called the store and was told it was, I explained my results and then was told that they were going to come out to the house and apply it, and that was the plan all along. I told them that was not acceptable and they could come and get the items. Their attitude was I would have to pay shipping if they picked them up. I explained I would like a refund on the price of the Scotchguard protection. Their reply was it would take about 2 months to refund my money since it had to come from out of town. After an discussion (heated) I did get my refund in a few days.. would not shop in this store again

PROS:
CONS: Would not consider shopping at this store again

We went here looking for some bedroom furniture and a dinette set and wasn't really impressed with the selection. They didn't have a lot to choose from and what they did have it was really overpriced. The workers were all very nice and did help us answer questions, but like I said I found them to be overpriced.

Great selection a little bit of everything.

This store is located in Blue Springs Missouri off 40 hwy.Very easy to find and get into.This store is huge with lots of selection. We went in looking for a couch table. We left with a sofa,love seat,2 end tables and the couch table. They have a great selection and when we went they had 0% interest and we got a great price.

I think this place is way over priced on their furniture. I went in looking for a new sofa during one of their big sales events and could not believe the prices. The sales people were nice, but they followed us around and I really don't like that at all. Needless to say I didn't buy a thing and wouldn't recommend this furniture store to anyone.
