This has to be the worst delivery I've ever experienced. I bought a few pieces of furniture towards the end of the year (2010) and had it delivered on a Monday. The delivery guys at that time were superb and knew what they were doing. The

I special order a bedroom set and also bought 2 La-z-boy chairs for my downstairs room. I must say the sales staff and delivery guys were excellent and professional. I am thinking about going back in about 6 months to purchase a sectional for my downstairs as well. I must say for delivery in metro area is definitely a plus with everyon'es tight budget with the way the economy is is a plus in my book.

I was looking to purchase a sofa and love seat. When Brown's Furniture advertised with a purchase of $500 of furniture you would recieve $500 in groc. rebates. If you purchased at least $1000 of furniture you would recieve an addition $500 in gas rebates.
I never recieved .01 in rebates. Actually, it cost me 2 X $9.95 in fees to get started on recieving my rebates.
Brown's furniture has only offered a discount on future purchases.
I don't need any other furniture !!!
I also called them, 7 mos. after I got the sofa and love seat, about sagging and sinking cushions. They came out with replacment cushions and re-stuffed the sofa and love seat.
Again, it is sagging and sinking. !!!!
Since my purchase with the rebate incentives, Brown's Furniture continues with advertising sales incentives like a free tv with mattress purchase, and the current incentive is free financing and no sales tax.
Seams everyone other than those that were supose to get the money back rebates got the deal they agreed too.
I would love to hear from those that did the purchase with rebates. I feel that a deal isn't a deal unless both the seller and the buyer gets what they agreed too.

I couldn't say their service was horrible, it was great. But their prices are a bit over my budget. Times are tough and smiling faces will only get you so far. I recommend shopping around in blue springs for other furniture stores, in particular next to the Walmart off I70 and Texas Roadhouse.

Ugggh! What a joke! I can't believe their still in business. I went to browns to purchase a bedroom set and after they found out I was only shopping around for the best deal, they blew me off and didn't even say bye as I left the doors. That's the last time I visit them!

Travis You made a great improvement in our warehouse and customer service on delivery of furniture. I know I can speak for all of us we wish you good luck and appreciate everything you did to make our place better. Sorry to lose you. Now go accomplish great things for yourself. You deserve it. Brown's has a few good people working their butt's off to get the job done and making sure the
customers are satisfied. Josh Lewis for instance works so hard only to receive a pay cut for
all his hard work. His work load increased because people quite and the positions weren't filled.
Instead the work was just thrust onto Josh. I worked there for a long time and have seen so many
improvements in the way the place is run. When I showed up the warehouse was full of trash and
debris. I personally think I'm responsible for cleaning up the warehouse and being a leader under
the direction of the ex manager David. When I first started to work for Brown's I would show up before
everyone else and start taking trash out. The warehouse has been totally revamped and when I left
about a week ago the warehouse was in the best shape it's ever been. I would worry all the time
about what we could do to improve the work environment. When you have sales ladies coming
downstairs crying because they don't know whether they will make it that month or not it starts to
effect you. I personally was so strapped for money that I was lucky to stay afloat from month to
month. I'm pretty sure I've given myself a ulcer and will probably lose my apartment now. I'm going
to give Brown's a 5 star rating. Not because of the store but because of the people making the
store what it is.

I told her that I just wanted to look so she told me to make myself at home . She came and checked on me , Just to see if I was okay. I was taking my time through the store and again this young lady approached me and asked if she could help me answer any questions that I may have, My reply was no. She smiled softly, and said that she was there to help in anyway. I was done shopping around in the furniture, and when to the bedding department, it was my intention just to look. While I was in the bedding she approached me again, softly, asking me what kind of bed I have now, And I replied. Then she asked me when was the last time I had shopped for a new mattress? I was not sure, She then asked me if I was comfortable? Not in all my years of being out has a sales person asked me if I was comfortable, and you know what she made me comfortable. This young lady was interested in me as a person, she became like a old friend that I had lost contact with, and you know what I bought a mattress form her, she cared enough not to pressure me and make me feel uncomfortable. So if you are shopping around and want a sales person that cares go to browns and ask for the young lady, you can miss her.

My husband and I were looking for a leather chair. We went into Browns and found a blue leather Lazy Boy recliner we just loved. We shopped other stores including the Lazy Boy store and nobody could beat the deal we got from Browns! We even picked up our chair right on the spot and took it home. The sales lady was very nice. When we first moved to Blue Springs, Browns was our Ethan Allen - you know the great stuff you can dream about, but can't afford. As our income grew, we began being customers and were happy with our purchases and the service. Recently, we were due for a new living-room set, and before going to the mega NFM, wanted to purchase locally. I was saddened to walk into the store w/ leak-stained ceilings, and a cheap dirty atmosphere. Even the gallery rooms were not up to their old standards - not as tastefully decorated with quality items as before. When I went up to the counter, at 10AM, I saw all the wastebaskets at the desks were overflowing with trash and the carpets were badly stained. The young sales gal was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the older sales people kept correcting her in front of us, but to her credit, each time she was the one who was correct - having first passed our questions by her boss. I felt uncomfortable for her, although she took it with grace and returned a soft answer back to their cranky comments. What has happened? Are they giving up - ready to retire? This is NOT the same Browns. I felt I was shopping in a bargain basement in the inner city!!

My husband and I shopped Browns Furniture last week. We were not approached by a single sales person. My little girls needed to use the restroom, once they entered the restroom they came out immediately as it was absolutely disgusting. The prices of furniture was concurrent with the quality of the furniture. I personally would much rather pay a little more for furniture that will last much, much longer. We were shopping for sofa sets and bedroom furniture...perhaps may have purchased a bedroom set from them but the sales people never approached ... they definitely were not busy cleaning the restroom.

I am a repeat customer - have shopped at Brown's for many years. I have always been happy with my purchases and the staff. The selection is great - the quality is great - I can only say nice things about my experiences with the store, staff, and the items I have purchased. I love their sales, their 0% interest, their financing plan - EVERYTHING!

We purchased a sofa and loveseat and were asked if we wanted scotchguard protection applied before delivery, we agreed to it. When the items were delivered I did not check to see if it had been applied, a few days later I did apply some water to one of the sofa arm covers to see it it beaded up. When I discovered the Scotchguard had not been applied as promised I called the store and was told it was, I explained my results and then was told that they were going to come out to the house and apply it, and that was the plan all along. I told them that was not acceptable and they could come and get the items. Their attitude was I would have to pay shipping if they picked them up. I explained I would like a refund on the price of the Scotchguard protection. Their reply was it would take about 2 months to refund my money since it had to come from out of town. After an discussion (heated) I did get my refund in a few days.. would not shop in this store again

We went here looking for some bedroom furniture and a dinette set and wasn't really impressed with the selection. They didn't have a lot to choose from and what they did have it was really overpriced. The workers were all very nice and did help us answer questions, but like I said I found them to be overpriced.

This store is located in Blue Springs Missouri off 40 hwy.Very easy to find and get into.This store is huge with lots of selection. We went in looking for a couch table. We left with a sofa,love seat,2 end tables and the couch table. They have a great selection and when we went they had 0% interest and we got a great price.

I think this place is way over priced on their furniture. I went in looking for a new sofa during one of their big sales events and could not believe the prices. The sales people were nice, but they followed us around and I really don't like that at all. Needless to say I didn't buy a thing and wouldn't recommend this furniture store to anyone.
