One of the best kids attractions in the St. Louis area. My kids both love to go to the Magic House and there is a lot to do for a variety of age groups. They also do special exhibits that the kids enjoy.

PROS: Appropriate for a variety of age groups, good & safe fun

This is a great place for kids and adults alike! Although it may be pricey to bring an entire family - it is worth the money. You could spend an entire day here and still have more to do. The pretend play and imagination that comes out of just a little while at this place is amazing. Keep an eye out for coupons....they have some buy one get ones out there.

I LOVE The Magic House! There is a ton of fun and educational things for kids of all ages to do. I have even gone with other adults before without the kids. One of the favorites is always the energy ball that makes your hair stand up. It does get kind of costly after paying for the whole family, but really is worth it!

The Magic House is magical.Everyone who enters is magically enveloped by the wonders of this beautiful house. We enjoyed the magic house because the fun never ends! The magic changes with different features like the sandcastle/beach in summer. Also it ties in with local TV like Clifford the big red dog. The only drawback to The Magic House is the crowds which limits the hands on experience. The positives do outweigh the negatives. The main problem is that there was no limit in allowing the kids to enter. The Magic House is always recommended as a place to go when the kids are bored or on a winter evening .

This place is so huge, and there's so much to do, for literally any age. I can see teenagers on a date having as much fun here as a preschooler. From a teacher's perspective, TMH covers it all educationally: electricity, magnatism, math concepts, dramatic play, imagination games... and they'll have so much fun they won't realize they're learning. The third Friday night of every month is free but CROWDED.
Warning: you will probably not have any energy left when you leave this place.

This is such a wonderful hands on museum. We went there in the summer of 2003 and my kids had a blast there. There are stories of fun for kids of all ages. A huge hit was of course the giant bubble maker. They even have a great area for children 2 and under to play around in. We definately will make a return visit if we ever make it back to Missouri. The rates were reasonable as well! It's a DEFINATE must see if you make it to St Louis.

Great place to bring the youngsters but you may want to bring them on a day that is free or has lower admission charge. Check with them before going. One of the more popular exhibits is the static machine to make your hair stand out literally. Adults may get bored quickly but this place is meant for the kiddies. Not someplace I really enjoy spending my time as I've seen everything they have more than once already. But I do go for the kids.

This place has been rated the number one destination for kids by several prominent organizations/publications. They have something for all ages and they also have areas that change to keep it a place to return to later on. Kids can have birthday parties here and groups also have functions here as well. It is both fun and educational all at the same time.

PROS: Fun, innovative, educational
CONS: Sometimes loud and a bit crowded

The magic house is a fun place to go see. There are all types of activities for adults and children. It is a place where you learn by having fun. There is an admission cost, and don't take your stroller, but it is alot of fun. I like to take my daughter there on rainy days, for something fun to do. We always enjoy it.

I have loved the Magic House since I was a kid. It is no surprise my kids love it too. They have plenty to do for all age groups. I have a 20 month old, a 3 year old, and a 7 year old, and each of them had a blast this past summer when we took a visit to the Magic House. It is so much more amazing now than it was when I was a kid - and I didn't think that would be possible!

My kids loved the grocery store and pretend play area the best!

Avoid the Magic House on a "free family night" because you will not be able to get through the door. Although the "touch tunnel" is gone, the old winding slide is still present and there is lots of hands on fun for old and young alike.

THis is just how I remember it twenty years ago with a few changes. Make sure you have plenty of time to spend in here because there's a lot to do. THe kids learn and don't even realize they are learning because they're having too much fun. And, make sure you stop by the static electricity ball at the end!!

I can tolerate it only because they enjoy it so much. I guess my only real problem with this place is that there are always so many people here it is hard to get to any of the hands on displays.

They do have tons of neat stuff here for the kiddos. Most of the kids I know enjoy the static electricity ball that makes your hair stand up most of all. You can definitely spend a whole day here if your sanity allows it.

I can remember years ago taking my son to The Magic House. I think I enjoyed it as much as he did. Really! There is a two story slide, that neither my husband nor myself- missed sliding down. It was delightful! Many fond memories.

This place is a classic in St. Louis. There are many things that are the same as when I was little and went here. I think the admission is a little expensive, but there are coupons that are pretty easy to find. If you go here - make sure you do the static electricity ball!!!

This is a gem in the heart of St. Louis County. You'll almost miss it driving if you aren't looking for it.

There are a variety of activities and fun things for your children to do, and adults even have fun here. It's easy to get in and out of, and there is ample parking for those busy weekends. The cost is fairly reasonable too.

If you are looking for something different, look no further than the Magic House in Kirkwood.

The Magic House is a unique "hair raising" experience (literally) for the whole family. It's a little pricy for my taste (at about $15.00 a head). But, the kids have a really good time. Birthday party packages are availble too, which would be a really neat party for the kids.

PROS: Lots of activities
CONS: Pricy

ON the third friday night of the month its family free night, which it gets kind of crazy busy then, but if you don't mind the crowd then its not bad to going then. I am not sure the price otherwise tho. There are lots of activites going on thru the 3 story house some change and some stay the same. I am not sure we have even seen it all yet but we plan to go back sometime soon. It wore my kids out and it was educational tool too.

The Magic House is a children's museum built in a restored Victorian house. It really isn't just for kids, adults will have a blast also. Parking is free. They offer several hands-on exhibits to get your brain moving. The average cost per person is under 10 dollars and I know spending less than a couple hours in here is impossible. As you work your way through each activity in the house you will reach the top of the house where there is a 3 story high slide to go down. This is one of the highly antisipated attractions of the museum.

I have loved this Children's Museum since I was a child and now I love taking my kids there. There is so much to do I couldn't begin to describe it all but there are rooms that will appeal to everyone even babies. They also have party rooms available for weddings, company parties, and birthday parties. Don't go in the rain though it gets VERY crowded.

PROS: fun, fun, fun

Took the kids to the Magic House the other day and it was better than expected. Lots of things for kids to do and learn. What better way to get the young brains working than to take them here. Many different areas to check out, but because it is a popular place it tends to be a bit crowded and you may have to wait to interact with the displays. Overall a good time. Check the local magazines at any hotel and browse through it. You may find a 2 for 1 coupon.

All children will find something fun at the Magic House. It's filled with great hands on science experiments for the kids and worth the price of admission. Plan on spending a full day here and arrive early in the morning. Make sure not to miss the town where they have a home, bank, grocery store, pizza place, tv station and more that the kids can play in. The fishing pond is another favorite (magnetic fish). No food or drink is available here however so plan accordingly.

As a grade-school kid growing up in St. Louis, this was my all-time favorite annual field trip. I'd love to go back and see how well it's aged. Do they still have the "touch tunnel"? The static-electricity exhibit? As I remember it, the Magic House is a really great educational concept that kids really love.
