I bought a car from Neil, I'm getting ready to go make my last car payment. Yes, the amount of the car was very high over what it was worth, but I also started this journey with horrible credit, and now I've not missed any payments even made some early, I have good credit now.I would recommend this place for anyone that has bad credit, but only if you have bad credit, if you have other options, I urge you explore them too!!!!

Ratings_icons They are full of crap!

I think that they are just a big rip off and a misrepresentation of a real car dealership. I realize that it's a place for people that don't have the greatest credit, but they shouldn't make a point to rip you off either...that's the main reason why you don't have the best credit in the first place. Just because I get paid three times this month, my car payment is going to be $645...can you believe that...who, in their right mind would pay that!!!!!! I will try my best to keep this car while I have it, but I really want to tell them to shove this car right up their.....

I purchased a 2001 Vw Beetle. I had a good experience there. Everyone was nice and helped me through all my questions and financing. I wouldnt say I got a good deal but I will say that with my credit I am just happy I have a good running car that I can get to work and back everyday. I have recommended this place to a friend. I am rebuilding my credit and I have made my payments on time to them each and every month. So in my opinion if you have crappy credit and a little down payment...Give them a try.

I went to neil's to buy a car the other day. I filled out some paper work. Then an older guy came up to me and said you can't buy a car here you are because you get paid minimum wadge and you are a single white girl. Come back when you have a man. He was rude about every thing and I'm telling everyone. I wanted to buy a 2003 chevy trailblazer and they wanted 15,998 and Kelly blue book says 9,000 and there apr rateing us 18.9%. I went to the chevy dealer and they were nice and I got a trailblazer. It is a 2004 and I only paid 8,000 and nothing is wrong with it, oh and the apr rateing was 5.2%. That is a big dif. ??? What should I pay 18.9% apr or 5.2%???... neil's is wrong they don't help people they f**k them. Don't buy a car there, keep looking you will save a couple 1,000 I promise!!!!!!

I went to Neils to get a car because I didnt know any better. I purchased a 2003 Neon, the engine light came on the next day and they refused to fix it of course. i had to call the fox 4 news station to get help. Even after that, it still wasnt fixed. I still have the car and i dont know what to do. i cant even trade it in. i wouldnt reccomend this dealership to anyone. also rocky is a money hungry piece of crap along with all the others that sell everyone the pieces of junk they have going through that place. it is rediculous.

Ratings_icons Neil's Finance Plaza is a good place to buy an automobile

We recently purchased a Buick Rendezvous from Neil's Finance Plaza. We experienced fast and friendly service personnel from all aspects of the dealership. Adam Gonzalez, the warranty manager was most impressive. He handled any issues we had concerning the vehicle in a timely and professional manner and at "no charge" to us. We recommend Neil's Finance for anyone needing a "second" chance or anyone needing a good used automobile.

After a nasty divorce, I had some serious financial trouble. My Jeep got repo'd and I was desperate for a car. I saw Neil's commercial and decided to give them a try. I knew of the "dangers" of the buy here pay here dealerships, but didn't much of a choice since I didn't have much for a down payment and my credit was shot. Neil's put me in an '02 Kia for $10k and I drove off the lot that day. The payments are high and the interest rates are through the roof but they have worked with me though my financial hardships. I have been laid off twice since buying my vehicle and they were pretty understanding and set up alternative payment arrangements with me. I wouldn't recommend Neil's (or any buy here pay here operation) if you have other options because you will over pay for a below average car. But if your options are as limited as mine, you have to do what you have to do.

Ratings_icons A Good experience

I contacted Neils Finance PLaza and they went over and above my expectations. A salesman, took me to the aution, waited while I found the truck I wanted, he got me an excellent deal.
Neils mechanic drove the truck first, said it needed a few things. I left the truck, and porter from Neils came and got it. At Neils they went through Very thoroughly which took almost 2 days. I might add that my financing was in Texas, and they purchased the truck for me, and then waited until I got the bank in Texas to issue a check for the amout, which took several days. In the meantime I am driving the truck, and might add that I am a paraplegic so I need a quality vehicle. The people at Neils treated me as if I were one of them. I am impressed and would highly recommend Neils.

The price is high and the financing is high because these places are for people who have bad credit or no credit and would not otherwise be able to get a car at all, not even at a high interest rate, especially now that the subprime mortgage industry has made the lenders very jittery.

By the way, having your daughter on your tv commercial is not exploitation, at least in my book. I did commercials for my Dad's car dealership.

I filled out a financing form for a place in town called Neil's Finance Plaza. I'd seen the guy on the commercial, exploiting his kids or grandkids, proclaiming whilst wearing his cowboy hat with a southern twang, "just $59 down and you drive off the lot!" Yeah, all
right. That didn't exactly hook me.

They sent me a handwritten postcard that told me I was "pre-approved", which I laughed at, ignored, and lost. Pre-approved for what? Next, Pam called me to tell me over the phone I had been "pre-approved" to buy a car. I laughed privately at this once again. I know they didn't check my credit or call my references. I knew it was a gimmick, but thought I might go and see what they had to offer. I am desperate, and even though I realize I'll have to pay twice or more the value of a car, I do not have much choice. I need a car. They feed on desperation.

Pam asked me on the phone if I had any money to put down. I said, "I may have $300 on Friday when I get paid." She immediately gave the phone to a salesman, who offered to send someone to drive me to the dealership, across town from where I live -- I thought, to look at what they had to offer. So the next day, Tuesday evening, I took them up on it.

What happened was totally bizarre. Everyone -- a room of about six or seven idle people sitting in close proximity in makeshift desks --
greeted me with weird smirks on their faces, and a guy brought a
Saturn up for a test drive. This was apparently the only car that was
"available" (hence, the car I was "pre-approved" to buy, I guess). So
I test drove it. The guy who rode with me was Mexican American and could not speak English or answer questions. That was odd. Doesn't one, if accompanied, usually have the salesperson with him just for that purpose -- to ask questions, discuss the vehicle? The transmission sounded a little bad. I wasn't impressed, but the car was clean.

When I got back a tall white-haired guy, maybe Neil (not sure), ran
out the door. He did not introduce himself nor shake my hand. He
snapped, "is it okay?"

I said that the transmission sounded bad.

He said, "hell, I dunno, I've never driven it, come on inside."

I went inside to discuss the car...what I've done at other dealerships
on other occasions, bargain, talk about the financing, treat each
other like human beings.

No deal. He sat me down and started filling out paperwork in silence. I was shocked. No discussion of price? What the hell kind of salesmanship is this? He was assuming that I wanted to buy the car. It was totally absurd. He asked me for $300, and I told him, like I told the woman on the phone, that I didn't have $300, that I wouldn't have it until Friday. He jumped up, this guy who never shook my hand nor told me his name, and said, "can't help you," and announced to everyone there I didn't have the money. "Can't get a car without a down payment," he said more than once, shaking his head, and walked off in anger.

"Yup, can't get a car without a down payment," everyone kept repeating like they were characters in some bad, surreal television commercial.

I was still in a state of shock. I had never even said I wanted the
car! No one had ever suggested or mentioned a price! No talk of
interest rates or the bad transmission or anything else! I was waiting
for Ashton Kutchner to jump out and say I'd been Punk'd, but it didn't happen. I said, like an idiot, "maybe I'll come back Saturday." Yeah, right.

"Be sure to call first to see what we have available. Oh, and here's
what you'll need," Pam, the unhelpful woman I had spoken with on the phone told me, giving me a list of other things I would have needed to buy the car (which of course I didn't bring) such as pay stubs, etc., a list she had neglected to give me previously. I apologized lamely for the apparent miscommunication, and sort of stood there like the dippy doofus I apparently am. How could they treat their customers so terribly, and communicate so badly?

"Um, how do I get home?" I asked, quietly.

Pam grimaced. "I dunno, the bus? I've never taken the bus."

I was in a daze. I motioned, "can I leave by this door?"

She said, "yeah, thanks."

"Yeah," I said, and threw the list she had given me on the floor. I
pushed the door open and went to the bus stop. I found just enough
change, fortunately, perhaps serendipitously, to pay the fare.

The people were all incredibly rude, presumptuous, unprofessional, and treated me horribly, like scum, as if I had no dignity.

On their website they credit Jesus for their success. I suppose that
should have been a red flag, an attempt to gain trust from the
credulous from the outset. Since, they credit Christ with helping them to run a legal loan shark scam, add "blasphemy" to the list of bad customer service skills.

Anyone who goes here because they see this guy on TV saying he'll sell you a car for $9.00 is probably not using insider pages, but if you are... DONT GO. I have seen these guys work and they will sell anybody anything. The problem is the price will be so high that you will never be able to pay if off.
