I like to shop at Schnucks because of its diverse clientele.I'm very familiar with many nationalities, so this doesn't bother me at all. And the food is good too. People that claim to be afraid to shop rhere should go elsewhere. For example, a place like Eden, although like Adam and Eve, they would probably get thrown out of the garden too.

Pros: Best service and close to home.

Cons: none

Is a hard working area sketchy? I hope the people of this community disagree with the previous review we know we care about each other and this store cares about us the customer.
This store is a fine store. The staff is always friendly and the customers look out for one another. I've had coupons passed along to me by customers standing in line! Also, we are not as pushy as those people in the swankier zip codes that are in a big hurry cutting you off or running into you with their cart.
Believe it or not the Richmond Heights Schnucks' area is in a more dangerous part of town. But that is a nice store too and we used to shop there when we lived near Wash U.

DO NOT shop there. The above poster labeled Schuncks on Olive rd. correct, but leaving out that the employees are also to apart of the problem. Leaving this store the other night, in the parking lot, one of the security guards was screaming YO WAAZZUP to one of his friends and not to mention the previous night it was the grocery cart boy screaming through the parking-lot about some basketball game. The place all in all is very confrontational. If you want to shop there, make sure you have a gun. Oh ya, they have good shrimp? Good luck, itll take you 5 minutes to walk in the store and 15 to get though the check-out lane. Good to have workers with no ability to figure out how to actually function. Bottm line, store is managed like cr-p. Go check it out! Great place!

Pros: in U.City

Cons: This store does not fucntion and is understocked

The three to four electric shopping carts for disabled people are really convenient.
I like to shop at the deli; but do ask for their delicious fried shrimp that was just cooked within the last hour. It is like eating leather past four hours.

Attention women: Two women who live in my apartment complex had their purses grabbed off of their arm right next to the entrance to the Schucks, University City store during the summer of 2007. This store really needs a security guard to protect the shopper.

I would give the store high ratings if it were not for how unsafe I feel shopping there.

Pros: Deli, Variety, Electric Shopping Carts

Cons: Very unsafe for women shoppers. The prices are higher than many other stores

This store would be fine is it weren't for the neighborhood it's in. The customers bring the quality of the store way down. Seriously, just drive the extra few minutes to the Ladue or Richmond Center store if you can and everything is night and day. I hate this store. The customers are loud, rude and worthless. Often times when you're outside walking in or out you get men saying disrespectful things to you, that is, if you're a woman You get people hanging out outside asking for money or just being an overall nuisance. The employees are average.

Schnucks is generally an above-average grocery store, but this one is not in the best area of town, and the building is a little old and run down. While their selection is decent, their prices are good, and their employees are friendly, I'd go to the Clayton Schnucks if it's after dark. Produce here is not always very fresh.

PROS: good deals
CONS: bad area, older store, produce sometimes wilting
