This was my first experience with a major dealership. All their ads on the web , including their own website has the same copy and pasted bs line about "I just did a FULL LIVE WALK AROUND." on all their vehicles. It also shows them in a spotless white background with a b/w checkered floor, not in any real world settings which I found misleading for the 2012 Chevy cruze I purchased. Their pictures may not even be the actual car that is being offered. The car I purchased was said to be in great shape, which during the walk around and test drive seemed to be true, but once I took it home and looked it over I found many flaws that might not have been a deal breaker , but they should have had the common courtesy to give close up photos or let me know in person about. And possibly a discount for. Mainly for paint chips that these cars are notorious for, just look it up on the web. The main complaint was for the condition of the tires. When I inspected the car I felt with my fingers for tread(the tires on the cruze are pretty tucked in to the fender wells.) and they seemed in pretty good condition, but later I realized that the fronts were very thin on the edges. I thought at first no big deal I will just rotate them and they will last for a while longer. Well, the tires had not been rotated properly from the beginning and the rear tires were the same way, except one had been plugged in the sidewall and was bulging. Now take in to consideration that I drove 150 miles to get this car. Nothing was ever said about the tires. Not one word. They new I was going to turn around and drive this thing 150 miles straight with a bulging plugged tire. For 13 grand I would hope for at least a warning. Also they were supposed to ship me factory mats, and turned around and sent some cheap dealer embroidered mats instead. If I didn't live so far away I probably would go throw a fit, but I really don't want to burn up any more free time with them.I would not put much faith in their 114 point inspection. I would think tires would be pretty high on the list. They sell cars everyday and you would think that it would be common sense to take care of people. The car I bought is a good driving car, but a little up front honesty goes along way with me. Pisses me off that I have to spend time on the web reporting this crap. I would not recommend, unless they see this review and offer to make things right. I won't hold my breath.

With respect to the car sales of Jim Falk, I have had good experiences.

This is in regards only to their maintenance at Jim Falk. My mother had a Buick Century that had begun to have problems with temperature readings and the coolant. When she visited them they eventually told her that the Head Gasket in the vehicle needed to be replaced. They said they could fix it for around 1700, but my mom had said that she wouldn't be able to pay that and so they said well how about 1400.
For the second part of this story, I took her vehicle in because I didn't believe her vehicle could really run at all if the head gasket was that bad. They eventually told me it might only be air in the lines that could possibly need to be bled out because the temperature thermostat had been replaced. They said that would only be a 150 charge. I really don't want to think that this was a case of sexism or trying to take advantage of someone but this was really upsetting in this case.
On a final note, I had my mom's car taken to a local mechanic who removed the air from the lines for under 100 and since then her car has not come close to overheating like it had been before.

I bought a used vehicle from Jim Falk in November of 2011. It was by far the fastest and friendliest service that I have ever received. My salesman "Gentle Ben" was great to work with. This vehicle had a sunroof and since it has hardly rained at all, it had a leak in it-I'm positive the dealership had no idea about this at the time of sale, but when it was brought to thier attention-they took care of everything and fixed it free of charge even though it had been 3 months since I had purchased it-and was already out of the factory warranty. I can't tell you how rare that is to find in a dealership. It would have been easy for them to look the other way and not take care of the issue, but they didn't. I have bought 40 cars in the past twelve years from all over the state- and I have never ever had such a positive experience. They aren't your stereotypical dealership with pushy sales and no service after the fact.
