Yes it has a really cool, pretty office geared toward kids that has a nice aquarium and things to keep them entertained. But my daughter is TERRIFIED of the dentist, and they don't let parents go back with the children, which certainly does not help her anxiety. They acted like in the history of treating kids, MY child is the only one they've ever seen that is scared of the dentist. When the valium the doctor prescribed before her cavity filling didn't work, he told me he couldn't do the procedure and the only choice was to knock her out. I don't see how tying her to a table and sticking an IV in her arm is going to do ANYTHING to quell her anxiety. Not to mention that I can't afford $900 every time she needs a cavity filled.
The other thing is that even though they treat kids - kids who are in school - their new patient consultations ONLY happen between 10 and 11am, or something equally inconvenient.
Guess what? I called a new dentist and they can get my daughter in for a consult at 8:30 in the morning, so she won't miss much of school at all.
I really don't understand why people love this place so much. Maybe if your kid has no problem going to the dentist. But they labeled mine an "anxious, combative" child. They didn't offer any coping mechanisms like, here let's watch a video to relax you or read a book to relax or...well, anything.

We are so lucky to have this office in the St. Louis Area. I distinctly remember awful visits to the dentist with my sibling as kids...had we been able to visit Sunset Hills and Dr. Autry, that never would have been the case! The office is entirely kid-friendly and family-friendly. They send phone calls, emails and text reminders (if you like) about appointments. Kids get goody bags with prizes and dental care items, and the parents remain in the comfy and cheerful waiting room (with wi-fi and a gazillion new magazines) before speaking to the dentist after treatment. The staff is friendly, the waiting minimal. This place is like a well-oiled machine. They seem to follow a Disney-like philosophy of top-notch customer service, environment and superior care. It's amazing.

My kids love this dentist office. They have seen Dr. Dan Autry for 3 years and can't wait until their next check up. He and his staff make them so comfortable "going to the dentist". I recommend this practice to everyone with children!!

the kids love this office. When I was a kid we hated going to the dentist, now we can't get them to leave! The office is hip, cool, clean and up-to-date.

We drive quite a distance to take my daughter to Pediatric Dentistry of Sunset Hills, but it's worth every minute in traffic and every gallon of gas. My daughter needed more than the usual amount of dental work when she was quite young, and both the dentists and hygenists went above and beyond to help her overcome her fears and develop a good feeling about going to the dentist. As others have mentioned, the new office is beautiful and quite kid-friendly, but it's the friendly, welcoming, and patient attitude of everyone on the staff that really makes the difference.

My son has special needs and they didn't even flinch at taking care of him. The staff there is wonderful and three of them took care of him so they could help him. The office is decorated just for kids with Disney movies playing and tons of neat toys and an awesome fish tank in the front. My son who I thought would freak out didn't even whine once the whole time we were there. I found this place from my nieces who are 7 & 12 when they told me there new dentist was the coolest and I should take him there.
