We've been going to Companon Animal Hospital for 3 years now and have had nothing but oustanding care from them. They are the only ones that I would trust to take proper care of my buddy. He seems to actually enjoy going to the vet, which is a bit surprising to me, since I don't even enjoy going to the doctor. Dr. susan takes the time to explain verything quite thoroughly to me and always seems to recommend the best care for him. I can't say enough good things about the folks at the hospital. They also seem to be a little less expensive than the other vets around me. Heck, I can board him at Companion for two days for the same price that one day cost me in St louis.

We boarded our dog Sadie for two nights at Companion Animal Hospital in Hermann. Sadie was happy and healthy when we dropped her off. She was lame, lethargic, and completely dispirited when we picked her up. Needless to say, we're heartbroken about this.

We are still trying to get the straight story about when and how Sadie was injured. We don't know why the staff didn't notify us when they noticed her foot was injured (staff had my cell number). And we're at a complete loss as to why the veterinarian did not diagnose and treat Sadie's injury and her pain as soon as her injury was noted. Sadie was in pain for at least eight hours *while in a vet's office* and she received no treatment during this time.

I called Dr. Boedges this morning and asked for her assurance that she would try to figure out how this happened and fix her facility so no one else's dog would be injured. I also asked her to assure me that from now on she would diagnose and treat animals *immediately* for injuries they might suffer while boarding there. She did not give any indication she would do this.

She simply said that from now on she would require her staff to note a dog's health when they're dropped off. That doesn't help dogs like mine, who were perfectly healthy when they checked in.

Perhaps other people and their pets have had good experiences here. And as I told Dr. Boedges, I'm a reasonable person and I understand that accidents happen. But Dr. Boedges needs to make sure her facility is safe for dogs, and then commit to diagnosing and treating them right away if by some chance they do get injured. Dogs should not be suffering and in pain -- especially at a vet's office.

I have used this vet for over five years, and never, ever have my animals had better care. Compassionite, honest, helpful with any animal I have taken in, and their rates are very fair. I have paid way more in the past for less service. I have used this clinic for routine shots, surgeries, and outright emergencies, they have come though every time. They are more dedicated to the animals then any office I have ever used, you can't go wrong with Companion Animal Hospital.
