To be honest, the key in my 911 porshe was already broken... I just brought it into waterway to try to fuc them over and get a new key because im a skeet little bastard. And Stuart H, you are a huge douche. The only thing that touches your car in the wash besides chemicals are the mitters... And it doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize that they cant scuff your car you douche!

I could not believe what terrible customer service I received at this location. I recently bought my very first NEW car. After owning the car for one short month, I took it to waterway. $50 later, I left the carwash completely disappointed. Not only did they not wipe out the cupholders, but there was soap scum on the inside of the door. Not exactly what I pictured for 50 dollars, and definitely not what I wanted on the inside of my brand new Mercedes. In addition, I realized once I got home, that they had not replaced one of my car mats. I had to call twice to finally be connected to a manager, who kindly suggested that maybe I "imagined" that there had been 4 original mats in my car, and that they did not have it. Thanks for the offer for four free coupons, but I think I will wash it myself. Overall, Waterway at this location is a waste of time, money, and patience. FAIL.

I been going to Waterway in Leawood, KS weekly for 5 or 6 years and don't know what I would do without them as I really don't want to wash, vac and clean it myself. They are always very courteous and do a great job. Thank-you!

I took my car (a 2000 VW) in for a full service clean. I came out with a white scuff along the full roof line on the passenger side. I am certain the mark was not there before. I could tell you where ever single ding and scrape my cars 10 years have earned it. In addition the arm rest had been set all the way back and its lid was hanging open. Now the hinge on the lid is cracked and it wobbles. I went back in and was referred to the manager. He denied any responsibility: "I guarantee It didnt happen here" was his only response. If you do get your car washed there take photos directly before and review the work in detail afterwoods.

To those who read these comments, I would really use critical thinking in evaluating what people say/have said.

"Tim A" not only tells us the kind of car he owns (BMW), but also that he's the "VP of a business with thousands of employees". I'm 38 yrs old and have never met a "VP of a business with thousands of employees" who has the time, nor desire, to come on a car wash message board and take the time to write his comments or to look into filing a class action over a broken turn signal.

"Steve H" also feels the need to let us know that he has a "91 Porsche 911" and has called his "Porsche dealer who I have purchased 7 cars from".

I am from Marion, IL and was up in Chesterfield for the day on business. I came up the night before and my SUV was COVERED in bugs from the drive up 57/64. My car went through the wash and the 2 guys worked about 12 minutes on my car alone. 5 or 6 of those minutes were spent on the front on the car. They busted their butts to get my car clean for me.

I never had any interaction with anyone trying to sell me more or make an extra buck off me. If people are having serious issues with this company, they're either being dishonest on here or have a screw loose.

I go to Waterway once a week and when I am there I am treated with unbelievable respect. There are a few managers that know me by name and talk to me in depth every time I'm there. As I read some of these post from people i honestly don't understand where you come up with this because I have never experienced a problem with anyone associated with this company. I had a damage on my car and the manager "Rob" took care of me that day. I strongly recommend waterway at least the location in Chesterfield, ask for Rob and he'll have his team take care of you.

Your cheap go do something yourself. I worked at waterway for almost three years and it helped put me through college. And for the hotshot with the BMW or the porsche, go try and get a class action I bet you wont get a dime. All of these people b*tch about things going wrong with their car, you know you can always do it yourself. And also for those people who tip like sh*t and get a pretty shi**y job, thats the way the employees do things.. For people who tip 20%, they are always taken care of properly. For those cheap bastards like tom who get a $50 car wash and tip a $1, your car does get remebered and people wont want to do it because they do get paid $4 and hour so that 30 min they spent on your car and they get to split that $1... WOW... I wonder why some cars look like sh*t. Some people who do work there have responsibilities and obligations and are not incompitant. So before billy bad ass with the BMW talks sh*t about people, try and take your head out of your ass first. Dont think you are better than anyone because you got prob a three series beamer.

I just came back from having my car washed at Waterway. My car had not been washed in months and was filthy, inside and out. I got the Wheel Deal wash, paid $20 and the job was spectacular!! The attendant was also very friendly. I had a question about carpet cleaning, he was very patient, explained it to me and never made me feel rushed. I will definitely return and have them do the full detail!

I love Waterway ! ! ! They always do a great job on my car and the employees are such hard workers and so courteous. Maybe they only make $4.00 an hour. I don't know, but the workers must be making pretty good money because they never have a lack of workers in summer and they aren't hiring.

I wish I had read Steve's comment before I took my BMW to Waterway in O'Fallon. I pulled out of their lot only to realize that they had broken my cruise control lever off, causing my blinkers not to work! I immediately phoned the manager and basically went through the same experience as Steve--fill out an incident report.

The long and short of it is that I finally ended up with the Managing Partner, Paul Toler. I called at 9pm expecting to leave a message. It must of been Paul's cell phone because he reminded me that it was 9pm and this could wait until morning. Well, Paul and his manager refuse to accept responsibility.

There seems to be a pattern with this company, of disrespecting customers and refusing to live up to their obligations to make it right when mistakes happen.

Steve if you still read this forum, I would like to get in touch with you. I intend to file a small claims action. But, more importantly, I want to contact all of the people who have been damaged by Waterway to picket their operations. We may not get them to do the right thing, but we'll take this to the court of public opinion.

I am a VP of a business with thousands of employees very close to this location. Trust me when I say that I am going to broadcast my experiences as loudly as I possibly can. If you or someone you know has been damaged by a Waterway car wash, please contact me. I am looking into the possibility of a class action, and to organize a public relations campaign.

Hey Tom,
You are so cheap because the employees at waterway make 4.00 an hour and depend on tips to make money. That is like not tipping a waiter if you only get coffee at a restaurant. It is the principle of it. You are one of those cheap people always trying to save a buck. Well have fun shopping at Aldi and clipping coupons out of the newspaper you cheap skate.

I sometimes don't feel like washing my cars myself. That is when I go to waterway. No matter how cold it is they always do a great job. If they miss something and you point it out to them they will take care of it.The stores are nice and clean and the people are friendly. Yeah, it cost more than those express washes but they do a better job.

They are just good for a basic wash. I got talked into paying for a full detailing, and paid $120. Nothing was done as promised. What a waste! And the rude manager completely ignored my concerns, and just offered an exterior re-wash. I had to take it to some place else and pay again, for a real detail job.

It was a beaultiful day today so I decided to head to Waterway w/ my 91 Porsche 911 for a full service car wash. After waiting for about 10 minutes for my car to appear in the tunnel I was approached by the assistant manager who informed me there was "a problem". While starting the car the key had sheared off in the ignition and furthermore it was my fault as the key was thin metal. As it has worked perfectly for 16 years I asked if they were familiar with the steering lock on the car as the key is offset in the dash but still locks the wheel. I was told they wash "thousands of Porsches a day and they have never had a problem" which seems astounding as there are not that many registered in the St Louis area. After several minutes of being questioned I was allowed to fill out an "incident report" but I was also informed that I was wasting my time as the manager never pays on these types of claims. These types of claims? I was just told they have never had a problem. As the car was still running with no way to turn it off I called the Porsche dealer who I have purchased 7 cars from over the years and got the name of the locksmith they use. I proceeded to drive over and $95 later had the broken key out. It was twisted with enough force to shear the metal in half. I took the invoice and went back to the friendly folks at Waterway and left it for the manager to examine. Later that evening the assistant manager called me back to tell me the claim was being denied as the incident was my fault.
He also told me that they have washed 80,678 cars without a problem. He did however tell me their records indicte that I had my other Porsche as well as my wife's BMW washed in the last week and that they value me as a customer. They then decided to compensate me with coupons. Although it is a minor amout of money at issue, the audacity to try to put the blame on me is completely unacceptable. I hope that anyone who reads this appreciates the mission statement of this organization for what it is, a total lack of respect for the consumer. In short I am through with Waterway and I would encourage anyone who patronizes them to be aware that if your vehicle is damaged due to their lack of competance, you will be not only blamed but also out the money to rectify the situation.

This notoriously expensive and variable quality car wash can leave something to be desired in the wash and cleaning of your car. Though you dont so much have to worry about theft from your car as the attendants take over and drive your auto in the machine, you do have to worry about them leaving scuff marks with their vaccume hoses and not properly drying your cars exterior, resultant in water marks. Often i have had to drive back throught the wash because their machine had not gotten dirt off my car- dont hesitate to do the same too!. Their gas is always too expensive, never buy. The inside of the car wash lets you watch the action, its kindof a treat!

This place is reasonably priced if you're just wanting their basic car wash, but they make all their money on the "extras". Their staff is trained to keep offering you things to the brink of harassment while you're in line with your vehicle.

Somehow, it always bothered me that they expect a tip at the end too, when your car is just being driven through an automatic wash. I mean, yes - they do towel dry your car off afterwards and vacuum out the inside, but I'd rather just do that part myself and save a few bucks.

I dunno... If you have the money to blow on a car wash and don't want to do any work yourself, this might be fine.
