I had to take my dog in to see dr Peddicord due to the mailman hit him and left. I can not tell you how upset, scared, and worried I was that my best friend was unable to use any of his body. We walked in, no apt, and they took us in like we had been there before. Unfortunatly they had to call a day later to tell me that my beloved pup passed away. With in a few days I had received a card in the mail from Dr. Peddicord and some of the staff saying how sorry they were....GREAT people! A year, and new pup later, I had to take my new buddy up since he was not feeling himself. Turns out my dog has Pneumonia, and after a short stay is feeling back to normal. Appox 3 days later I have received a call from Dr Peddicord himself asking how my Camshaft was doing. I cant tell you enough how much I appriciate the follow up call, and the personal service! I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment!!!

I started taking my animals to Dr. Peddicord after a bad experience with a vet in Blue Springs. He has helped all my animals for over 12 years including my current dog who almost died on me 4 years ago. I have found him and his entire staff to be loving and caring people especially during difficult situations. The fees are reasonable. I trust them completely.

I do not know how to change my rating or if I should. My animals have had wonderful care until yesterday. My current dog had 2 bad knees but the right one would slip out and lock causing her to drag her leg and yelp with pain. I took her in for surgery and they operated on the left one instead of the right one that we discussed. Now they are covering themselves by telling me he decided that the left one (which did NOT pop out causing her to drag that leg) was worse than the right. Now my dog cannot use the left rear leg because of the surgery and the right rear leg pops in and out causing her much pain resulting in no use of either of her hind legs. The sounds she makes when she tries to move is killing me. I'm torn between medication and putting my beloved 10 year old poodle down into permanent sleep because of the pain she is now in.

I took my 7.5 lb. dog on a Monday morning because she had not been holding food/water since Friday night. By Monday morning she was severely dehydrated and sick. Dr. Peddicord took her temp. and touched intestines. Then he proceeded to tell me that she either had a common intestinal "tubing" problem, or a blockage from eating an object. Make a long story short. I had to put a $ 500.00 retainer down, for x-ray/iv for fluids and more extensive X-ray, if first one showed nothing. The $ 500.00 would NOT include anything else but what I (he) said above. So, $ 500.00 right now/down/retainer or my dog can die...We do not have $ 500.00 plus the intestinal operation monies, so I left. Before I reached the door, I was stopped (bawling and all upset), and told there was a $ 39.00!!!! Office charge...I guess for the temp. and touching her belly and giving me the awful news, when I just thought she ate some crap from the yard again, and maybe needed meds., this time. I would have never imagined this type of problem, ending in intestinal surgery, most likely. I have my sweet dog in a vets care for the next 2 days, for fluids, liquid food, x-ray and blood-tests. She is very well taking care of at ANOTHER Vets' office, for a total of $ 40.00, so far. One dollar more paid for trying to see what it takes to save her, so far. I just want to state, that I do not know anyone at Odessa Animal Clinic's Office; only went there because it was the closest one for me, and earliest to open, to take her asap, on a Monday morning. I am sorry to have to add this to my "bad Monday morning", and wish I had a positive review to write

Dr. Peddicord and Dr. Scott have seen all my dogs, cats and horses for years. They are about 1/3 of the cost of other vets for surgery and about the same for everything else.

Pros: Cost effective and competent drs
Cons: NOT a no kill shelter for the area

This office literally saved my daughters precious pup from the brink of death. He even went in on closed days and hours to check on her. Now that is a vet that needs recognition! I will be taking mine out to him, and make the drive! Kudos to you and your staff that hung in there with her! My hats off to you~

The entire staff was extremely friendly and it was easy to ask questions. They answered every question I had, as well as offered extra information that I did not know before. It is about a half hour drive from where I live, but I will definitely be going back when my cat needs it. The staff are polite and encourage you to ask questions. One side note that would have been nice to know before going: for now, they only accept cash or checks. This is a great animal clinic!

This is The best vet I have yet to know. You can ask a question he will be sure to know it or find the answer. This office also serves as Odessa's Pound since Odessa does not have a animal catcher in town. You can also Buy pet supplies in this office as well. I have hear that he Comes out to give horses there shots as well. Very Loving shelter for Animals and a Kind vetranarian. They Only take In strays though. They will NOT take in pets that have had a hoe that need to be gotten rid of in a hurry due to an emergency Living Arrangement.

PROS: friendly vet and Cheap as well
CONS: They Do Not take Pets that need an emergency Home
