I've been trading games at our local little slackers for several years now.As a regular, must note that i see the same people in the store when i go in - they've got a crowd of frequent shoppers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They know their "stuff" and seem really fair re exchanges and trades. It's quite cool to have a store like this in downtown Como.

This place is terrible. Not only did we get ignored but the place smelled so foul I wanted to vomit. They said the sewer was backed up. Wow I really felt sorry with all the bacteria floating around. I'm pretty sure that's not good for your health being around that all day.
Anyway stuff was over priced (6 bucks for a record? what? and it was tears for fears!) and liek I said customer service was horrible.
Avoid at all costs. Check out Streetside records.

I agree with what another review said - the employees aren't that great. Even the cd selection isn't that great. The only reason I go there is for vinyl and video games. It's true their video games could be more reasonably priced for used, but they generally give me a good deal for my used movies and games.

Slackers has been around Columbia for a few years and now has a place in Jefferson City. Slackers has a good selection of video games and CD's. I feel like the prices on the used video games is a little high, considering the games are used. You would think since the prices a slightly high for used games that you would get a good price when you traded your games in or sold them to Slackers outright but that's not the case. I guess that'show they stay in business. Buy low and sell high. I only bought down there once after what they offered me for my kids used games. I did better selling them on-line than locally.
PROS: Big selection
CONS: high prices

Slackers is a decent electronics store in downtown Columbia, but don't expect too much. They do have a great selection of old games, such as Game Boy and Sega Genesis games, but customer service leaves a little to be desired.
The prices are pretty fair, especially on CDs. Games tend to run a little closer to MSRP. The atmosphere is pretty good, but the employees tend to keep to themselves.
