I don't typically like pizza in STL, but this is pretty good. Light and crisp and great cheese. The service was always great, even when crowded.

This is the first review I've written. My husband and I love Joanie's! In fact, we have driven over 100 miles (we live in Southern IL) to have lunch there. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. You feel like a local as soon as you walk in the door. The thin crust pizza is unbeatable. It is thin and crisp but flavorful, unlike many other thin crusts! We have made Joanie's part of our game day ritual when going to Cardinals games. Joanie's even offers a free shuttle to the ball park!

Pros: Great food, friendly staff, good prices

Cons: sometimes hard to find parking on street

There are so many great pizza options in St Louis outside of the standard chain/delivery pizzarias and Joanie's is near the top of the list. In the heart of Soulard, get a great pizza and all your drinks for the night at Joanie's or get your dinner there and do some Soulard bar hopping. In the spring and fall, there are few better outdoor dining options. As for the pizza, it is not St Louis style. You can get your own personal pizza with the topping you want, or you and a group can order a larger pie. Great for lunch or dinner.

You really have to try the Johnny's meat pie only sub sausage for burger and add banana peppers! Try the triple berry colada at the bar and the cadillac margaritas will sneak up on you if you aren't careful. The Pain Killer's they served should be limited to only two- no more-unless you are walking home.

I don't know if it is the influence of alcohol or the anticipation to eat after leaving a Cardinals or Blues game, but Joanie's is one of the best pizza places that I've been to. I know that every time I've been there I've enjoyed it, but I can distinctly remember the last time there after a Cardinal's game during the last week of their 2005 season. It was piping hot and cooked perfectly, slightly toasted on top and cooked thoroughly through. Great memories, you've got to try it.

Joanis pizzas are made to order and are always piping hot. I have dined in twice, but found that it is a great place to pick up dinner on the way home. If you are in the Soulard area, it is definately worth a try.

They have a great lunch menu. Their personal pizzas are very good and you pick the toppings. They come with a good house salad and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended for a lunch spot in the Soulard area.

PROS: Soulard location, Reasonable Prices, Good Pizza

Joanie's is wonderful! We consistently are served great pizza there. Most people in St. Louis enjoy the thin crust, but I order the "hand-tossed" crust. The pizza is fresh and the ingredients are always good. I definitely recommend Joannie's to anyone looking for a great casual restaurant with wonderful food!

Joanies is located in the midde of soulard and is a great place for pizza. I recommend the johhnies meat pie. The meat pie is enoromous enough for a family of four!! Joanies is a great place to go for Mardi Gras in March.

I have a passion for pizza and Joanie's Pizzeria did way more than settle a craving. Everytime I think about how wonderful their pizza is my mouth waters! They are hands down one of the best pizzerias in St. Louis. Even if you are not a big pizza fan, they offer many other tasty choices as well. They are also located in the heart of Soulard which makes it fun to sit outside and people watch.

This is just a great, fun place to dine, with a sweet patio area in the heart of Soulard. Great food. Plenty of non-pizza options including fabulous salads, and sandwiches and pastas that I haven't tried but look great (I just can't get past the pizza!)

This place is a gem. It's small, cozy, and historic. I've been here several times and have never had a bad experience. The food has always been good and the pizza is fantastic. Granted, I love Imo's, and this is somewhat similar, but Joanie's is the best in my opinion. This is a great place to get a good meal at a reasonable price. Nothing overly fancy, but nice, clean, and good. Nice outdoor dining area for the summers.
